Bucket
Field Value Full Name Bucket Alias Gender Male Age 19 World Occupation Barbarian Status Role Participant Team Happy Campers Edition Crab 5 Creator
“Hm? Sorry, I wasn’t listening. I found a tasty bug.”
Bucket the Barbarian is a participant of Crab 5. He’s on a personal quest to slay Emperor Reptothrax of Zavouxe, The Red Crescent Moon Serpent. Bucket is someone who is very determined and will find a way around, over or through a problem.
Appearance
He stands at 182 cm and weighs 130kg, at 19 summers this is what it takes to make it in Southern Barbaria. His red-brown skin has a few scars that have healed over, some of his fingers aren’t straight.
He wears a wool cloak dyed forest green, light green trousers and a thick belt holding a fur pelt. He wraps cloth around his shins and soles to deter bugs but never wears shoes. Or a shirt for that matter. You’ll usually see him with a wooden club or a few rough javelins. If not, he’s making one.
There’s a bucket on his head. That’s his ‘face’.
Personality
Bucket is quiet, observant and sometimes very dense. Aspects of social interaction, inter-personal connections or even romance go clean over this one’s head. He’s gotten in trouble in the past over these so he tends to stay quiet now, unless he’s with his friend and comrade, Biff the Brawler.
In his experience every fight is one to the death, so Bucket avoids getting into fights if he can help it.
Powers and Abilities
Strong, durable and an excellent climber. His time in the forest has made his ability to detect disturbances keen. A rustle here, a bird stops singing there, he notices. He’s able to handle blows that can fell Oldgrowth Trees, but he’s not going to feel good tomorrow.
When it comes to combat, if taken by surprise he’ll assess what he can but try to end it quickly. If he’s on the defense, he’ll set traps and spike pits. If caution cannot succeed, then he’ll hit it with a big stick or a rock.
If he’s able to get a good look at someone, he can see past their ‘masks’. Some are more guarded than others so this won’t always work. He doesn’t do this much anymore since it got him in various trouble and fights as a youth.
Background
An outcast from his clan, Snake’s Head Hill. He lived on the fringe of an already backwoods community. His father, Basket (titles redacted) was slain during the burning on Snake’s Head Hill. (good riddance)
He spent his youth under the eye of a Raven. Hunting and fishing in the wilderness until the Raven had to leave.
History
Pit Entry
Bucket (WON) versus Houndclops (LOSS)
G. Marion-ette, being a multiverse hopping being of vast knowledge and power knew Bucket wouldn’t stop his quest and leave his comrades behind. So he took Bucket to the Houndclops instead of the other way around like other contestants. Bucket locked in a visceral death roll with the beast and sent it stunned, falling down some deep horrible canyon.
Now in the Cancer’s Case, other fighters tell him of the prize. A wish. Knowing this, he steels himself. A wish could change his world, for better or for worse he’s not entirely sure. What he is sure of is this could end his comrade’s suffering.
Bucket awaits the day of the tournament.
