For my brother, my friends, and my allies... today, I must fight!
Kalinka is a participant of Crab 3, as a member of H.A.U.N.T. She is a girl from the 1800s who was turned into a vampire with psychic powers, and was caught into a human/vampire race war in the English city of Lonnein. One day, her world became frozen in time, leaving her as the only person to consciously roam it, until the Gamemaster arrived to invite Kalinka into Crab 3.
Appearance
Personality
Kalinka is a bright, cheery girl who’s always looking to bring up the spirits of those around her. She’s very optimistic and she values friendship over all. Kalinka is very idealistic: she’s a pacifist, and often finds herself morally conflicted in her missions, especially considering the teammates she’s paired up with. She doesn’t back down from letting others know where she stands morally and she can be very emotional or even dramatic.
Kalinka is innocent and not very bright. She’s susceptible to deception and trusts people easily, often being oblivious to the hidden bad intentions of others. She can also see good in people that might not have that much good, like Lenard, but her good nature can influence those around her.
However, Kalinka can also show her temper at times. If she’s been wronged, or offended somehow, she’ll have no qualms with making the assailant pay for their misdeeds. She may not be a killer, but she’s absolutely not a pushover.
Powers and Abilities
Kalinka was once human, but she underwent an experimental treatment for an illness, which turned her into a Koschei, a special kind of vampire. Back in her world, vampires eat human flesh directly instead of drinking blood, so Kalinka lacks any kind of blood-sucking.
Kalinka has the ability to float and she can manipulate her own density: she can go through walls and structures by becoming intangible. She can also go through people, which leaves them with a psychic aftershock. Kalinka is also a powerful psychic: she can use telekinesis and psychic pulses to push others away from her, which she showed against Ferfou.
The most important aspect of Kalinka’s powerset is her immortality and regeneration. If harmed, she can heal from most damage easily. However, if the gem on her headdress were to be destroyed, Kalinka would instantly die, since the gem contains her soul. It is believed Kalinka can actually be harmed by sunlight, since she used a parasol in the beach episode. Perhaps the potion’s influence protected her from the sun in Round 2 temporarily.
In the final round, Kalinka did not particularly gain any brute force bonuses from the Gamemaster in terms of power level, but her psychic potential was apparently unlocked. Her fencing skills had also somewhat improved, hence why she was confident enough to bring her rapier to the fight. Kalinka also had a change of wardrobe for Round 3, choosing her old horse riding outfit for more mobility in battle.
Background
History
Round 1
Kalinka Korobeiniki (won, entry) vs Fedelina “Feddie” Fernister and Zephyr (lost, entry) in Counter-Intelligence. Match page: C3 R1 - Kalinka vs Feddie and Zephyr
In Centuria, the duo joined the Empire, while Kalinka was made part of the Brotherhood of Shadows.
In Feddie’s reality, they were summoned by the imperial spymaster in order to uncover and interrogate the Brotherhood member that had infiltrated. Due to a series of vampire attacks in the pleasure district happening at the same time as the reports of a Brotherhood infiltration, Feddie concluded the vampire had to be the culprit, and devised a plan to bait and distract Kalinka via disguising themselves as dancers from the district. Kalinka fell for Zephyr’s charms and spilled the beans, before being blasted and captured by Feddie’s magic.
In Kalinka’s canon reality, Kalinka was found sulking by Dr. Stitch, wondering why she was made to work with the Brotherhood, whom she considered backstabbers. Stitch motivated her to be useful to the Brotherhood for the sake of her team and her brother, and Kalinka decided to act. Finding Dizzy in a brotherhood building, she was assigned to run communications as her father had taught her how to code messages during wartime - but she was warned an Imperial Spy was possibly among their ranks. Pretending to be a brotherhood member called Darla, Feddie requested Kalinka’s messages to deliver and decoded them, much to the vampiress’s frustration. Kalinka tried different methods of coding them, but the Empire continuously outsmarted her attempts. Angered, Kalinka baited the spy through lying in the messages about a meeting in the forest - when “Darla” presented herself there, Kalinka confronted her in shock. Calling her innocent, Feddie revealed her identity and attacked with a blast, but Kalinka dodged it and captured the mage with her Telekinesis. Feddie asked for forgiveness, but Kalinka replied she would not trust anymore and bound her - later, the other brotherhood members celebrated the spy being captured, although Dizzy commented Feddie likely enjoyed the bondage.
Round 2
Kalinka Korobeiniki (won, entry) vs Evelin Griffon (lost, entry) in Shibuya. Match page: C3 R2 - Kalinka vs Evelin Griffon
In Japan, Kalinka took on the anime potion gaining Hatsune Miku powers, while Evelin took the gender potion becoming Evan.
In Evelin’s reality, Evan and Kalinka walked around Shibuya, Evan lamenting he could not try all the cute clothes as a man while Kalinka seemed happy doing so. Kalinka then invited him to go clubbing, and he accepted as long as they went to a place with the least amount of people so as to not sperg in public. They walked into a club then and Kalinka went to look around leaving Evan to sit by the bar, upon when he had the realization the girls from the clothing stores were into him (late). He was excited then considering he had a chance with women and that he was hot enough to bypass the language barrier. He was then approached by a man who asked him if he was American, and said Americans were sexy. Being an idiot, Evan only nodded in gratitude. They talked and then even gave each other a drink, until ultimately and eventually Evan realized that was a gay bar and panicked, apologizing and leaving. He tried to tell Kalinka then who was hanging with women, but she was having too much fun and barely paid attention. Evan decided to enjoy the male attention as they were buying him drinks, but then gave up and decided to go back alone to one of those wacky hotels. Proving his writer was a woman, he then complained about how pissing as a man was a pain (it’s not).
In Kalinka’s canon reality, Kalinka was given the assignment to visit Shibuya. As her team struggled to figure out what to actually do there as a mission, Lenard suggested Kalinka should conquer the area. Initially, Kalinka showed a moral opposition to this, but Dr. Stitch and Cyrus quickly convinced her. Kalinka chose the Yellow Potion, granting her Hatsune Miku’s crown from the World Is Mine music video. Lenard remarked that the potion was just piss, to which Kalinka replied that everyone in the team was some form of undead, so it shouldn’t matter. Kalinka arrived at Shibuya and wandered around aimlessly, not knowing what to do. Evan, the male form of Evelin, heard her talking to herself, and assumed she was out to harm people. Later, he caught her talking to an otaku. Believing Kalinka was taking a hostage, Evan confronted Kalinka. Unable to change his mind with just words, and afraid to blow the mission, Kalinka put on the crown and transformed, to then sing Supercell’s World Is Mine in the middle of the Shibuya Scramble, winning the hearts of the citizens. Evan left, seeing that Kalinka wasn’t a threat. It’s implied he met up with Wietske (female Wietse) after. Kalinka returned to the Blimp, where Lenard read a newspaper announcing Kalinka as the Shibuya Princess. He congratulated her, albeit he also reprimanded her for her non-lethal methods. Dr. Stitch then remarked that they wouldn’t have drunk the Yellow Potion.
Round 3
Kalinka Korobeiniki (won, entry) vs Ferfou Tompetite (lost, entry). Match page: C3 R3 - Kalinka vs Ferfou Tompetite
In Ferfou’s reality, Ferfou thought of how she had humiliated H.A.U.N.T. and only gotten gold yet she was still not satisfied, and faced Kalinka who was there to avenge her team-mates. Despite this, once Ferfou began attacking with her rapier, Kalinka asked if they couldn’t talk things out, and used her telekinesis to almost push Ferfou off stage, asking her why she was so decided to win and lamenting Stitch was sad about their previous encounter with the frenchie. Ferfou called H.A.U.N.T. a bunch of harassing monsters and that she could only care about getting the victory, although secretly it seemed she was just acting rude to try to provoke her opponent and considered she wasn’t even in good terms with her own team due to her attitude (she revealed then Wanzu-tier fourth wall breaking powers by melting my eyes trying to discern her thought text). Kalinka then was motivated to fight, and created a huge psychic blast, but Ferfou used Haste and dodged it, going for Kalinka while hoping she would not kill her - however she was surprised to find Kalinka received her next attack by flying, and promptly grabbed her by the neck and ordered her to surrender. Ferfou refused, then used Somewhere In Time to stop time for five seconds, enough to pierce the ghost’s lung. Kalinka managed to get up, but it was right after the ten second count from Berbie finished, meaning she had lost the match, although Ferfou was glad she hadn’t died. She noted she knew a ghost did not need lungs and that Kalinka would recover, and congratulated her for the match. Kalinka said Sanguine could have done better, and Ferfou invited her to relax as they spent time together by the edge of the Bucket.
In Kalinka’s canon reality, Kalinka was called down to the Bucket for her match against the bane of H.A.U.N.T.: Ferfou Tompetite. Kalinka seemed disappointed to have to fight after so much effort to keep her vow of peace intact, but she agreed to battle after Lenard encouraged her. Cyrus, too, showed concern for Kalinka, which she rewarded with a kiss before floating down to the arena. As Kalinka and Ferfou greeted each other, Kalinka seemed a lot more serious and cutthroat than usual. Kalinka asked Ferfou what her reason for fighting was, which she stated to be her dream to be the greatest fencer in all of Europa. Kalinka remarked that she was fighting in the name of her brother, her friends, and her new allies, as she drew her sword. Berbie called for both combatants to fight. The battle started as an ordinary sword fight, until Kalinka started to float around Ferfou, outmaneuvering her. Frustrated by this, Ferfou began to cast her Haste spell, putting Kalinka on the back foot. H.A.U.N.T. encouraged Kalinka from the stands. Seeing that Ferfou was willing to use magic, and remembering her encounter with Feddie, Kalinka began using her telekinesis to push Ferfou away. Ferfou caught up to Kalinka with Haste and cast Stopga to disarm Kalinka, knocking her sword out of her hand and threatening to stab the vampire. Cyrus cried out, and Kalinka reacted by becoming intangible and going through Ferfou, causing her a painful psychic aftershock. Kalinka then attempted to push Ferfou out of the arena to win with a ring-out, but Ferfou used (A MOMENT IN TIME) to stop time before this could happen. Ferfou took note of the frozen Kalinka’s headdress and attempted to shatter her gem. Perhaps out of sheer willpower, or due to having sensed Ferfou’s intentions somehow, Kalinka’s psychic might allowed her to break through Ferfou’s stopped time. No longer holding back, Kalinka unleashed a psychic pulse, pushing Ferfou out of her way. Kalinka’s hair came loose from the sheer power of the pulse. As H.A.U.N.T. celebrated, Kalinka unleashed an intangibility barrage on Ferfou and then lifted her into the sky with telekinesis, before pushing her enemy out of bounds with a vertical psychic blast, which exploded into the shape of a bat. Berbie announced Kalinka as the winner due to ring-out. Kalinka brought a distraught Ferfou back to the arena safely, and after realising that her opponent did not know of the risk to Kalinka’s life and had no killing intent, she reassured Ferfou that her dream didn’t have to end here. She also remarked that, if H.A.U.N.T. were to win, she’d think of something to help her out. The match formally ended with a friendly handshake.
After Crab 3
Once the Gamemaster decided to let the Crabs decide between Brat Pack, H.A.U.N.T. and the Bucket Servants’ wishes, Kalinka initially supported her own team, but she joined Z and Dylan’s plan behind Lenard’s back, betraying H.A.U.N.T., in order to support the Brat Pack. She is seen in Z and Dylan’s epilogues as part of this alliance. However, she wasn’t entirely angry at her team for picking their wish — just mildly disappointed.
In Post-Crab, Kalinka was seen in Kome’s epilogue winning a fencing competition alongside Ferfou. It is believed she has a wish for the Brat Gods…

Trivia
- Cyrus and Kalinka won Second Place in the Best Ships of Crab 3 - they were also at the moment the only canon ship to earn top ranking.
- Kalinka is named after two Russian folk songs: Kalinka, and Korobeiniki, otherwise known as the Tetris Type A theme song.
- Kalinka is Russian, and as such, she includes some Russian words in her speech. She often refers to people as “tovarisch”, or friend. She also, apparently, calls Lenard “otets”, or “papa”, from time to time.
- Despite never having watched anime, Kalinka’s finisher from Round 3 bears a striking resemblance to Trunks’ Heat Dome attack from Dragon Ball Z.
- Back in her world, Kalinka is the only vegan vampire that refuses to eat human flesh. She is essentially the MLK of vampires.
- Had Kalinka won, she would have wished her brother back to life. One of her possible alternate wishes was to “make every crab’s wish real”, an innocent request that would have created untold chaos.
