“But just like with most others, I have but one drive. Win, by any means necessary.”
Blossom Rosebud is the only daughter of Vivian and Janitor, two contestants of Crab 2, who has been going through hell and back after the events of Crab 3, seeing her family be broken apart and split up.
Now, after years of surviving in a hellish world she was thrown in, Blossom finally has been given the opportunity to compete in the tournament she once called home.
Appearance
Blossom is a demihuman - half-human, half-alraune. She is 180cm or 5’11 feet tall and is 20 years old.
She has a burgundy bob haircut, pale skin and cherry-red eyes. On the right side of her head, she has a cherry blossom where Jerry is often connected to. Jerry is integral for Blossom’s ability to communicate, as the young girl is naturally mute.
She wears a steel cuirass with thick pauldrons over a pink gambeson. She also wears armored knee-length boots. Around her waist, Blossom has a utility belt with pockets filled with poisons, antidotes and chemicals she uses during war.
Personality
A calm and serious woman who mainly talks when she feels it’s necessary. Doesn’t like violence, but won’t shy away from using it either.
She enjoys some peace and quiet outside of her job, mainly partaking in reading and studying chemistry. When she was a child, Blossom always dreamed of being a chemist. But now, she just enjoys testing chemicals and their effects.
Much like her mother, Blossom also has an affinity towards botany and dance. Even with how strict her mom was about it, Blossom enjoys ballet as a reminder of her moments with her family.
Powers and Abilities
From her mother Blossom inherited her regeneration and plant manipulation, albeit on a weaker scale than Vivian. Blossom does possess peak-human strength and speed. From Leuca, Blossom was taught in the arts of chemistry - primarily toxins, chemicals and potions. Blossom uses this skill to make up for her weak plant powers.
Her most powerful weapon is her brother Jerry - a giant cherry on a staff. Along with being her staff, Jerry has various neat abilities, including flamethrowing, spraying water, releasing poison pollen and acid bubbles.
Background
Post-Crab 2
Blossom was born as part of triplets - with her brothers Thierry and Jerry - as the children of Vivian and Janitor, who have been dating ever since the end of Round 2 of Crab 2 after Janitor’s loss to Louis. During Eternal Crab, Blossom along with the other Crab Children grew up amongst the chaos of Crab City, the hub of the contestants now eternally stuck there. During this childhood, Blossom had a good friendship with Leuca due to their shared muteness and love for chemistry.
Crab 3 and Aftermath
Most of Blossom’s woes started with the third edition of the tournament. Janitor was called up by The Gamemaster to compete once again for the event, pulling him away from his family. While awaiting her father’s return, Blossom grew depressed but knew her dad would return soon. Sadly, he did not return.
As the tournament rolled into its final round, Berbie decided to set up a wish that takes all Crab 2 contestants still stuck in Eternal Crab into a pocket dimension where they are in a state and world before they entered the tournament. This included the triplets’ mother Vivian. And with Janitor not coming home, Blossom became an orphan, along with the majority of the other Crab Children.
To resolve this crisis, the winners of Crab 3, the Brat Pack, now Brat Gods, along with the D.O.O.M.V.A. - the successor of the Gamemaster - came to an agreement: send the Crab Children to live in Centuria, the war-torn continent that hosted Crab 3’s Round 1. Thus, without their consent, the kids were thrown into a place equivalent to Bosnia in the 90s.
Centurian Coming-of-Age and Pre-Crab 5
To survive in Centuria, Blossom used what she learned from Leuca and joined a mercenary band to earn money. She kept Jerry by her side and mastered using him as a weapon, to the point he’s like an extra limb to her. Growing from the experience, Blossom became a competent soldier, which attracted the attention of a certain goddess.
Kome offered Blossom a chance to get her family back, in exchange for years of military service under Kome’s army. Distrusting the Brat Gods for throwing them into this situation, Blossom kept rejecting the offer. But as years went by, the fear that Centuria would remain her permanent home kept growing. And thoughts of accepting Kome’s offer swirled through her mind.
She may have taken up the offer… if a bigger ticket didn’t drop on her lap. Now, Blossom has returned to the world she once called home. With just one simple goal in mind: win.
History
Pit Entry
Blossom Rosebud (WON) vs Houndclops (LOSS)
After her fight with her brother Thierry, Blossom goes to the town square for merc work. She finds a bounty for a quadrupedal cyclops and takes on the challenge. Done traversing the lands and scaling a mountain, Blossom encounters Houndclops jumping out of the bushes, ready to attack her.
Blossom and Houndclops avoid and hit each other with their abilities, but with a gut kick, Houndclops manages to flinch Blossom and chomp her right upper arm off. When he goes for another attack, Blossom jumps up and attempts to impale Houndclops. Expecting the attack, Houndclops opens his mouth to allow Blossom’s left leg and Jerry to enter his mouth, then bites them off.
Cornered and losing 2 limbs, it seems Houndclops would beat Blossom. But Blossom planned this final attack precisely. Jerry activates his “Cherry Bomb” ability and blows himself up inside Houndclops, destroying a part of the mountain.
When Blossom wakes up, she learns from Jerry what happened and sees she got invited for the fifth edition of CRAB.

Trivia
- With her entrance, Blossom is the first of the group of Crab 2 babies entering as contestants in Crab 5.
- Despite neither Vivian nor Janitor being British, Blossom has a British accent when Jerry speaks for her. It’s yet to be confirmed if this is Blossom’s actual accent or that Jerry is intentionally giving her that.
- Blossom dislikes strawberries.
- Besides Jerry, the only other family member Blossom still had contact with and respects is her older brother Brownie, a child from Janitor’s prior relation with No’e.
- Blossom and her brothers Thierry and Jerry are based on and named after the cherry and its blossoms.
- Through Vivian, Blossom is related to Crab 4 co-champion Ignatius as she is his niece.
- Despite Jerry having his own thoughts and personality, he and Blossom are not listed as a duo in the tournament, as only Blossom has been registered as a contestant and Jerry is regarded as her “weapon”. There is still no explanation to this yet.
