I know we have less worth than an insect... But. One day, I will be on top.

Kome Reidos is a participant of CRAB 3, as part of The (B)rat Pack. Raised in a cold and unforgiving ice-age world, she is a heiress of a distinguished clan currently serving as a living battery and political hostage, where she works to excel and survive her environment. She comes from the same world as Asha from Crab 1.

Appearance

Personality

Kome is determined. Behind the facade of talent hides a great deal of effort and discipline. In truth, she is terrified of being left behind and considered worthless. Kome judges everyone on her own high standards of competence. She can be brutally honest and mean, as she does not accept incompetence or unnecessary kindness. She is her own worst critic.

Beneath her competitive and cold nature, she longs for a normal life. Kome is new to many “relaxed” customs from other worlds and shows herself to be slowly accepting of them, if high strung. Her time with fellow teenagers also slowly melts the ice of her soul, making her smile more and be more accepting of others.

She is also extremely loyal to those she considers her friends, sticking with her team to the end despite the seemingly bad chances they had to win, and even rejecting an offer from the Light Magic Club to join them instead. It is in truth her loyalty which drives her to develop controlling tendencies.

Her future self is shown to be more relaxed and cruel, being able to laugh and smile with ease unlike her usual self.

Powers and Abilities

Future Kome

Kome is a Conduit, able to use energy called Vail flowing in her veins to achieve a limited control over reality. As a genius conduit, she has developed a dozen of minor techniques, such as using her power to cook food, or create rudimentary blasts of energy. Her main ability is called the Upper Mindscape. It allows her to extend her aura around her - all conscious beings caught into it are then warped into her “mindscape”, where reality occurs at the speed of neuronal synapses. In this space, Kome can only interact with beings dragged with her and will go through solid matter or beings left outside, and she is able to instantly appear whenever she wishes as it is a reality of thoughts. Others dragged with her will experience the same reality, but at such speed that their minds will not register a thing, while people outside of it won’t even experience what happened there as if it were outside of time. Once the mindscape concludes, whatever happened in it instantly materializes in reality - in her current age however, she is only able to extend her aura a few millimeters from her body, meaning she can only affect herself and whoever she touches. The TLDR result of all of this is that Kome is shown to be able to “teleport” wherever she wishes as long as it is within the horizon limits.

In Round 3, Kome’s future self shows complete mastery over the Upper Mindscape, being able to extend her aura around the size of a football stadium. This allows her to instantly bring down whole armies at the speed of a thought and to be way faster for most enemies to even conceive, making her one of the fastest Crab contestants alongside SRU and possibly surpassed by Davok. She is shown as well to be able to create and telekinetically control shards of vail crystals, growing them into spears or floating weapons obeying her will. She can condense the vail as well to create a powerful javelin or use all her reserves in order to summon a meteor from above with which she could level any field.

Kome knows Judo, which she uses in combat to catch enemies by surprise and flip them. Her future self is also trained in brutal military style martial arts.

She can play the harmonica.

Background

History

Kome was recruited by the Gamemaster, and she declared it was to be expected she would be selected as she was a prodigy.

She was offered to fight Kevin to prove her worth, but was intimidated and refused.

When the headliner selection was made, she was surprised to see Wietse chosen over her. They had a few arguments before in the waiting room, with him calling her a snob and her teleporting him far away, or him deafening her with sound.

She panicked at her team, considering they were not taking things seriously. Team Brat Pack moved to a dorms-like building where they lived together, with all the fun and struggles that implies, before being sent to Centuria.

At some point she decided to spy on every team to collect information, but was discovered by Maiden 4. Soren invited her to spar with the team and Kome became a regular addition to the training done on Monomyth, regularly conversing and hanging out with Soren.

In Centuria, Kome was made a member of the Horde much to her chagrin. She refused to don Horde clothes considering the Empire clearly superior.

Crab 3

Round 1

Rapist Ant (lost, entry) vs Kome Reidos (won, entry). Match page: C3 R1 - Rapist Ant vs Kome

Both being made members of the Horde, the Ant and Kome were sent to a coliseum in order to entertain the masses.

In the Ant’s reality, the Horde warriors gathered in the travelling Chaos Circus, where Lurker introduced them to the show incoming while lamenting Tenebris didn’t come (Tenebris was mad the Ant had raped him without asking). Kome was introduced with the audience jeering her, then the Ant was introduced, having built himself a reputation among the orcs and degenerates. Kome scoffed at the Ant, saying she was too good for this and asking if he planned to rape her, then surprised it had removed its armor. She laughed saying her world had actual dangers and that her team was waiting, and attempted to stomp it - the ant horribly broke her leg then. As Kome pleaded for it to stay away, the Ant declared he also had a team waiting and everyone expected him to do what was expected of him, and proceeded to rape the poor girl in the arena.

In Kome’s canon reality, they were sent there in order to keep the imperial masses distracted while Lenard charged Tredecima’s magic weapon. Kome began explaining the Ant her plans for it, as they would have to wait for enough people to fill the stadium and use communicators given to them to tell Lenard when to shoot - not hearing any of that and instead focusing on Kome’s rear, the Ant tried to assault her, but Kome teleported then into the arena, and tried to reason with her ally. When the Ant stated his intention to rape her, Kome resigned said she wanted out from the tournament, and a chase began through the arena, the Ant almost breaking her arm with a hit and Kome teleporting around and refusing to leave for fear of being disqualified from her entertainment duty. Kome then released the Manticore against the Ant, but he intimidated the beast with his sheer rape aura and then proceeded to rape it too. Using the distraction, Kome captured the Ant in her hands but before she could do anything she found in horror the ant easily cut her hands and released himself, punching her stomach hard enough to crack something and launch her all across the arena. Lying on the ground in disbelief and seeing the people cheer, the girl could not avoid sobbing: when the rapist jumped at her, she stopped it by kneeling and spoke, saying she understood it was the reality of all worlds that those who have power can take whatever they want, and that she had seen so many of her peers be taken, killed or worse. Recognizing with her weakness she had even less worth than an insect, Kome still assured the Ant one day she would be on top (foreshadowing) and that she consented to her rape but she would make him feel worse when that day came. The Ant instantly lost interest at Kome consenting - in the meanwhile, Desmond misinterpreted Kome’s words as being the signal to shoot the weapon, although he wondered if Lenard was not bothered by his son being in the fireline. The bat asked Desmond if he thought he was blind, and fired anyways, the powerful magic beam destroying the arena, killing many spectators and hitting the Ant as well, pulverizing it. Surprised, Kome teleported far away where she lay in shock from the experience, saying she hated CRAB.

After the events of Round 1, Kome locked herself in her room. She was ultimately cheered up by Wietse and the others who decided to celebrate despite their bad ranking in the tournament, which helped her relax.

She accepted Hime’s invitation to go clubbing and danced. Drunk, she teleported to Tredecima’s room in one incident, though they escaped with their lives.

Kome developed a crush on Soren, and they continued hanging out. They discussed each other’s wishes and their previous matches.

Round 2

Kome Reidos (won, entry) vs Pe’le (lost, entry) in Tajiroshima. Match page: C3 R2 - Kome vs Pe’le

In Japan, both Kome and Pe’le took on the kemono potion, becoming a cheetah girl and a panther girl respectively.

In Pe’le’s reality, Pe’le kicked a cat into the horizon and complained about where the GM had dropped her, and about her new looks due to the potion. Kome appeared, and challenged her, with Pe’le amused observing she fought a dog man the previous round and a cat girl this one. Noticing Kome was strong, she asked the girl if she was single. Somewhat upset, Kome noticed that her first battle had been a perverted ant and now it was a perverted cat. A battle ensued then, by Kome getting the drop on the pirate by teleporting, but ultimately Pe’le got a hold of the girl’s leg and threatened to immolate her if she would not give up. Kome accepted defeat, and Pe’le prepared to molest her - the comic ended before showing more due to the page limit.

In Kome’s canon reality, the Gamemaster sent both girls to a contest of who could collect the most cats. Kome began by instantly teleporting to where Team Monomyth was about to take a picture and taking Maiden 4 as her first cat. Pe’le went to the Light Magic Club, where she failed to push Wanzu. She instead told Wanzu she had failed to save Teresa and the goddess turned into a depressed ball, which Pe’le threw at the Gamemaster. Kome then tried to get Monkshood from Rhea, who interpreted her request for her pussy as Kome being gay, but during the argument Pe’le appeared and snatched Monkshood anyways. Pe’le then saw another cat sleeping and tried to grab it - but it was Balkari who punched her to the horizon. Kome offered Balkari sake, and the tiger girl accepted. Being tied, Kome then teleported the Gamemaster far above and then teleported herself down - the Gamemaster became a cat in the fall to land on his feet, and Kome grabbed him, earning her the final point and the victory.

In an alternate reality, Kome had been tasked with collecting and protecting the cats of Tajiroshima, performing the humiliating Neko Neko Kawaii Dance to gain their trust. Pe’le caught her in the act and was amused, with Kome threatening the pirate to never reveal what she saw. Laughing, Pe’le revealed it did not matter as she planned to burn the memory along with Kome and the cats, for she declared the island her new territory. Kome then decided to go for the kill, and judo threw Pe’le, then teleported her far above in the sky before teleporting herself alone back to ground, leaving the pirate to fall. Although the cats now trusted Kome, Pe’le appeared, using her fire as jets to descend and asking Kome if she believed that was enough. Replying that she hoped so, Kome extended her ability further for the first time, stabbing Pe’le numerous times who realized her opponent had not just been teleporting, but instead doing actions outside of time. Pe’le then fell unconscious as Kome began to bleed from overusing her power.

She was put on trial temporarily due to going to her fight too early - Z pleaded in her favor and both became friends.

Z and Kome wish each other luck.

At one point in Japan, she had one date with Davok, who considered her too snobby. She also went to the sauna with Hime and other girls, where the heat made her faint.

Kome went to the Tripp party after Round 2, where she spoke with Soren again, and revealed her real “criticism” of his wish, that in the end it also meant enforcing his own conception of whatever was good for the rest, insisting again on her philosophy of the strong taking whatever they wanted and how everyone was alone in fighting to be on the top. Still, she offered him her hand and they watched the fireworks - in another reality, she also teleported him to Maiden 4 to have him spend the night with her, although she considered then she had lost him as a future marriage candidate.

Before her final match, she had a nightmare of the ruler of her world threatening her using the face of a dead friend. She slept in Hime’s bed that night and accepted she was thankful for their friendship.

Kome was angered when Wietse left the team to aid the Rebellion in Nuremberg, considering it pointless. She tried to bargain with the Gamemaster to release Hime as well, and acted as the leader of the Brats until Wietse’s return.

Round 3

Kome Reidos (won, entry) vs Cassidy (lost, entry). Match page: C3 R3 - Kome vs Cassidy

In Cassidy’s reality, Cassidy in her Kemono form (as it was her peak) was excited to face Kome and to pay her back for getting too rough in training. She was surprised to see Kome already in her future form, and commented she looked as serious as ever. The battle began with Kome teleporting in front of Cassidy and trying to grab her face, but the headset stopped her. Going instead for SQUEEZING HER CHEEKS, Kome flipped Cassidy over to the ground, but the headset stopped the fall from hurting as well. Holding her in place by SQUEEZING HER CHEEKS, Kome summoned a huge sharp Vail crystal, stabbed the shield, and tried to make it grow inside in order to reach the headset. Cassidy pushed herself off Kome, using the shield to slide through the arena and stand again, noticing her reflexes to be more cat-like as well. Cassidy theorized Kome could not nucleate Vail crystals inside her field or she would have stabbed her already, but could likely make it grow once it had stabbed through to some degree. As she thought she had to keep her distance, Kome teleported behind her and put her on a chokehold (though the shields stopped it from actually choking her), and once again stabbed at the headset. This time managing to make the crystal grow in time, she damaged it and her arm closed on Cassidy’s throat - but to her shock a ghostly maw grabbed it and pulled her off the girl, forcing her to activate the Mindscape. There two spiritual temple liondogs had appeared, to protect Cassidy who was in her kami form. Angered by the interruption, Kome began fighting the guardians, and eventually Cassidy recovered consciousness inside the mindscape enough to see the battle ensue. Through struggling with the lions, Kome managed to defeat them in a brawl and redirected pieces of the mindscape on her opponent, causing a huge explosion - but much to her dismay the headset released a fail-over and shielded the Monomyth girl. Realizing the headset was at its limit, and Kome realizing her vail reserves were running low and dropping the Mindscape, they both decided to finish the other. Cassidy attempted to use a technique to banish evil spirits, but was surprised when it failed to affect Kome, who in turn began beating her. Getting on top and creating another vail blade, Kome derided Cassidy for having so much power granted but being aimless and weak to use it and ignore the hardships of the world. Cassidy replied she was sorry Kome had to face such a hard world and if she had to struggle so much to be powerful, but that even if it did not look like it, she was trying. She then blinded Kome with lights and flipped her over, before releasing hot tea Earl Grey on her face, burning her and running away through the destroyed arena, activating the tether of her headset. Kome attempted to activate the Mindscape, but she lacked enough vail and ultimately concluded she did not need it to defeat Cassidy. Surprised by Cassidy throwing her jacket at her, Cassidy held onto Kome’s arm, but the girl easily overpowered her and performed a judo flip - much to her shock, Cassidy had tethered herself to the arena, so Kome found herself landing alone out of bounds, giving Cassidy the victory.

In Kome’s canon reality, both girls reminisced the kind of lives they had, Kome her struggles in the harsh world to rise to the top in order to survive and Cassidy being carried to the moon by the headset and learning to accept her place in it while being safe. The match began, with Kome saying out loud she always wondered where she would end in her path, and transforming into her future form. Laughing loud much to the surprise of the onlookers -and exploding the Ant during it- the Future! Kome seemed to be overly joyed of finally being powerful. As Brat Pack commented on her change, Kome offered Cassidy the possibility to end her life quickly if she would humiliate herself and beg. Cassidy asked for time to consider it and requested to know Kome’s wish, to which the woman responded she wanted to be given control over every universe, to create an empire without mistakes or suffering, showing several Crabs working under her and some enslaved. On the audience, Wietse argued that the wish was to be made by the entire team, but Kome mocked her team asking who of them would be able to stop her. Seeing this, Cassidy responded to Kome’s offer by telling her the whole Ant situation had gotten over her head. Clearly incensed, Kome used her mindscape and tore several scars on Cassidy right away, considering the battle finished, then before the girl could react nor the headset attempt to heal her kicked her in the air. Confused at what was happening, Cassidy was then pinned down by several giant vail blades descending over her, but they were stopped by her headset. Kome commented on the headset’s strong capabilities, but noted the weakness she noticed in Cassidy’s Round 2 - that it lacked defense against the spiritual or mental. Having said that, she activated the upper mindscape, warping Cassidy and herself into the mind plane again and going through the forcefield, holding the girl. She then summoned several vail blades that impaled the girl, and went on to grab the headset - to her surprise, the headset electrocuted her sending her flying and waking up Cassidy. Battered and bruised, with the headset struggling to heal her and the shields deactivated, Cassidy nonetheless decided to fight and rushed towards her enemy, but Kome intercepted and began to soundly beat her much to the despair of her team. Upon hearing Maiden 4 words, she finally grabbed her opponent and, wondering out loud what all the training she did for was about anyways, flipped Kome against the ground, finally hurting her. Furious, Kome activated the mindscape once again and got on top of Cassidy, brutally beating her down while noting how “easy” her life and team selection had been compared to her own - through it, the headset finally adapted to what was occurring and responded by accelerating Cassidy’s mental synapses at space-travel velocities, allowing her to finally catch up with Kome’s speed and headbutt her off. Kome shouted Cassidy still had no chance and summoned a storm of vail blades, and, seeking through her past instead of her future, Cassidy used her own peak form, the kami form she took on the previous round, becoming once again a goddess and releasing several spirits to fight against the vail blades. As a small war ensued inside the arena, Kome and Cassidy charged at each other, and the second touched the first chest and activated her power, a powerful light blinding everything. Now in a deeper layer of the mind, Kome found herself back as usual. Breaking down, she grabbed Cassidy and asked what had she done, and Cassidy responded she wanted to talk to the real Kome, not her future version. Much like in her Round 2 then, Cassidy and Kome appeared in a fake mental school, and scenes of Japan, living “life” and discussing their lots. Kome told Cassidy about a friend of her world who had been good to her and how she could not forget it, and Cassidy told Kome about her failing to get into college, and how she landed onto Monomyth and felt not as capable as them, but still how she did want to help others. She noted Kome could be a hero, and how the nature of Empires was not based merely on asserting force over others, but in protecting their people, showing Kome’s Randolph’s grave. Back to the black void where they had appeared, Cassidy wondered if Kome did not know that already and if deep down she was not trying to gain power in a desperate effort to keep herself and her friends safe. Now on tears and remembering her team, Kome did not respond but hesitantly tried to continue the fight - yet to her surprise Cassidy surrendered. They appeared back in reality, and Cassidy asked Kome to promise her to find a way to make everyone happy if she got her wish. Before she could reply, the Gamemaster destroyed Cassidy for losing, leaving only her headset intact in front of a regretful Kome. After that, Kome apologized to their team, and asked Wietse to discuss the wish with her.

Extra Matches

Z (lost, entry) vs Kome Reidos (won, entry). Match page: C3 EX - Z vs Kome

In Z’s reality, Kome asked Z why would they face her, given she would not hold back and was superior in power. As they reminisced about Lenard’s despair on Z taking that match, Z gloated there would be no one they wouldn’t face, and brought all their shadows for the battle. Kome instantly destroyed the shadow army, and dodged a pre-emptive shot fired by Z before she even activated her mindscape, losing her coat. Kome approached Z’s mindscape/soul self, remembering their words and friendship, but when going for the decisive stab, Z regained control, catching the blade and revealing their plot - to have their own shadow fire electricity at its owner after the mindscape activated, accelerating and kickstarting their neuronal impulses to catch up with Kome’s speed. An ultra speed battle ensued between both of them, twelve minutes condensed to just less than 500 milliseconds, with Z achieving victory after Kome’s stamina ran out right before their own did as well.

In Kome’s canon reality, both contestants faced each other in a fierce battle, with Kome slaughtering the army shadows, stabbing Z several times, forcing Z to summon all the crab shadows. Overwhelmed, Kome launched a small vail meteor on the arena, but Z used the opportunity to electrocute Kome. Now deciding to face Z in her younger form, both reminiscing about their teams and the trust (or lack of trust in the case of Lenard not wanting Z to face her) they put on them, Kome and Z exchanged blow after blow - in the end, Kome tried her own version of the Hime Punch and used it to beat Z out of the arena.

After Crab 3

After (B)rat Pack’s victory, Kome became the Goddess of War, and began her own multiversal galactic empire. She still hangs out with her team in holidays regularly. In her own epilogue, she is seen reviving Soren after a year of the events of the tournament, and returning him to his already repaired world with the promise that after he enjoys his life there she will drag him back to serve at her side. Z and Maiden 4 are shown to be working alongside her, the first having requested for the man called Randolph to be revived in exchange. Kome is seen arguing with Wietse towards developing a teleporting robot army to help her empire (she later accomplished this thanks to Sack helping Stitch). After that, her team celebrates the anniversary of their victory, thanking Dylan and the Gamemaster.

God Empress Kome is seen to be far more relaxed, even organizing a bunny outfit “casino” day (it was cancelled due to Z’s complaints). She still argues with Wietse non stop about his divine leadership.

Crab 5

Kome (now the Goddess of War of the Reidos Empire) appeared in Crab 5, where she offered power to Blossom in exchange for her servitude. Although the plant girl initially refused and tried to win by her own means, ultimately despair got the best of her and she accepted, gaining power at the cost of her brother. Blossom ultimately succeeded in winning her match but did not win the tournament.

Kome’s condition for empowering Blossom was to use her as proxy in order to conquer Centuria for her Empire. This is due to Blossom being a supposed neutral party that allows Kome to bypass the Bratheon’s neutrality pact within the planet.

Her Empire has been steadily growing across several dimensions and planets, held through her power. It is known she eventually entered in an official relationship with her friend and fellow bratgod Hime Mashima.

Relationships

Life Within CRAB

Kome believed Yuna to be a mindless Golem and made her cry by treating her like a servant.

Her future self punched Kalinka on the face once for pestering her.

She had a crush on Soren and they often met and discussed their wishes and approaches to the tournament. In at least one reality, her future self had one child with Soren named Ken.

Had a strong friendship with her team. Kome respected Sack for having a wish that wasn’t just returning home and his boldness. She held Tripp in high regard due to priests of her world using drugs like him, and fraternized due to both having near-rape experiences in the tournament. She thought Gouda was a pest but kept accepting her back. She fought with Wietse every day and argued about her being the leader, but ultimately considered he did have some leading qualities, mainly charisma. She developed a strong bond and friendship with Hime, being called Memesisters. They won the first place for best Crab Couple (despite being friends).

Kome offers Blossom power in exchange for her loyalty.

Trivia

  • Kome’s diamond spots are in fact part of her natural hair color, not accessories. They are the result of patches of broken vail veins on her head.
  • Her favorite food is tongue on vinegar sauce.
  • She is inspired on a cheetah.
  • Having won all three matches, the tournament, AND the wish, Kome could have been a contender for the Oliver Award - however, her being put in the Horde makes it impossible.
  • Her Wish was initially to become an existence above all others - but after her experiences in CRAB she modified it to her whole team becoming so in order to limit her power.
