Taya “Rómendil” Miantos is a participant of Crab 1, as member of the Pryde Doughboys team. A human knight who ended up too far West, in the realms of elves, she is an adventurer that got dragged into the event and becomes one of the main heroic forces of the tourney.

Personality
Easygoing and impulsive, Taya always ends up finding trouble. She is never easily provoked and just seems to roll with things. She has a somewhat boyish way of speaking and behaving herself.

Powers and Abilities
Her main weapon is a sharp, multi-purpose spade, along with a round brass shield. If things get too ugly, she has an emergency flintlock pistol cached. Ammunition is precious, though, limited to one bullet.
Taya could match Kif in battle before he began using his powers and real strength, and ultimately managed to beat him using her brains.
She is a skilled huntress and gatherer and was able to collect most of the materials needed for the cooking round - as Asha kept bringing live people or aliens and Nova was hunted down by Bodycount. She is also adept at dancing once she is motivated enough.

The Gamemaster asked Taya in a British accent if she had a loicence for her shovel. When she expressed confusion, he told her to get into the portal and kidnapped her.

Round 1
Kathrine Durdan (lost, entry) vs Taya Miantos (won, entry) in Dancing. Match page: C1 R1 - Kathrine vs Taya
In Kathrine’s reality, Kathrine wondered why dancing was Round 1 as both opponents were introduced. Taya performed a Fortnite dance, much to Berbie’s rage and Wietse’s disappointment. Kathrine declared the girl only had passion and not technique and that she would beat her at her own game. She did then the exact same dance, with Berbie being fascinated and Wietse annoyed pointing out it was the same. The Gamemaster declared Kathrine the winner.
In Taya’s canon reality, she enjoyed pizza with her team and asked if any of them knew how to dance. Linda complained she had spent time cleaning her torture tools just for this, while Terriful offered himself to dance with any of the ladies. Pikralida pointed out the matches and Linda was annoyed she had to go with Terriful, while Taya wondered why she had to go first… Taya went into the match then, and warned the dog she did not know how to dance. Kathrine invited her to just have fun and go first - with the plan of just copying whatever Taya did with better. With no dances in mind, the guard remembered stepping on grapes to make wine and so she performed that as a dance move. The Bucket was silent. Both girls realized that was bad. Kathrine asked to see the rules (there were none), and when the Gamemaster asked what she wanted he agreed and created a Dance Dance Mat for her to move on. Seeing it awakened in Taya memories of her adventuring times and the ritual bonfire dances she lived with the elves. With a 94,8% success rate, the dog seemed to have won - but when she turned, she found that Taya had several times surpassed the 100% as she danced like crazy on her own mat. She was declared the winner and then left the next round to Joseph, taking his pizza and asking where Linda and Terriful were. Joseph replied they were training.
Round 2

In Asha’s reality, she was approached by some cute aliens offering help, so she killed them all and took them as ingredients, then she stole a barrel from the rosebuds, then she stole Nova as an ingredient.
In Taya’s canon reality, there was an actual fucking entry. Taya wondered what they would cook and Conqueror said Joseph said they would make Pizza. She asked why not use a pizza from Joseph but he pointed out she had eaten them all. Pikralida requested instead ingredients for a 3-course meal, and Linda gave Taya a gun to keep her safe in the forests telling her to set it to semi. Taya then took some giant carrots and cabbages from the soil, but right after her work was done she got caught in a trap set by Asha. Taya complained they were allies for this round, but Asha noted she could find the food later and that her target was hers - to this the short girl pulled the gun, forcing Asha to run away and shout it was not over. Taya then used her shovel to release herself and brought the food to Conqueror, who told her to put it next to what Asha had brought (Nova and Emily tied up). Later then, Taya went to find some meat and found a giant goat monster drinking by the lake, but when she jumped to attack it began flying with his ears. She decided to use her gun then, but set it on automatic and wasted all the bullets on nothing. Hearing Asha calling, she found the rebel down in a trap she had set, as the firing from before had made the giant goats push her into it and she had left her weapons away. Asha suggested Taya to rescue her and they could split the meat. Taya ignored her much to Asha’s frustration and decided to hunt her own leaving her opponent stranded there. In the end, Taya managed to ride one of the flying goats down to where the rest were waiting.
Round 3

In Kif’s reality, both just stared at each other without making a move until Taya asked him if he would just stand there. Nervous, Kif pointed out she had not moved either. Taya replied ladies never made the first move and that she could tell he was stronger than her. He said he was taught to never underestimate an opponent and that he would NEVER strike first, causing everyone to facepalm. To end things instead, he suggested gambling, and Taya agreed but threatened him with her gun that she would be the one to pick the game. Taya chose cards, and said they would play Go Fish, which Kif had no idea what it was. She began then cheating and Kif complained to the Gamemaster he did not even know the rules of the game, but the wizard allowed it anyways and deleted the color from the comic’s next pages. Saddened, Kif made his turtle shell grow and hid himself inside to rethink things, and when Taya complained the Gamemaster said he would allow it too. She began pestering him to play, and when she opened the shell Kif shouted that he had said he wanted time to think and knocked her out cold. Then Kif declared that he did not intend to… take that long. He was then declared the winner.
In Taya’s canon reality, Kathrine panicked and said screw you to the GM, attempting to escape the Bucket by flying. However, the moment she crossed the arena limits her body was grossly severed and she fell dead, then she was revived. As this happened, Taya was not paying attention to Linda’s explanation of Kif’s powers that make things grow whenever he is afraid. Linda noted there would be no other objects in the arena anyways. Many rounds later, their fight finally began, and both battled epically in the arena. Matched, Kif smiled and complimented Taya, and decided to use his spinning shield. Taya responded by pulling out her gun, noting she only had one bullet, much to his panic. This caused his power to activate and make the arena grow, covering for him as he hid behind and asked the girl to not shoot. Taya said she would, causing more parts of the arena to grow, and kept threatening him until the grows pushed Kif off the arena… however, the panic of being about to lose made his power go all out and the whole arena began growing wildly, launching them upwards towards the limit, the same that had killed Kathrine. Suddenly it all stopped, and Taya realized Kif had controlled his power and, to her surprise, he was contorting himself in order to not be slain by the ceiling. As Kif began to give his ultimatum, he opened his eyes and noticed the ceiling had left Taya bald, and he began laughing. With his fear suddenly completely vanished, his powers deactivated and the arena rapidly shrunk, so the girl stuck her shovel to a wall to keep herself safe while Kif knocked himself out in the fall, losing. The Crabs laughed as Taya was declared the winner.
After Crab 1
With her team winning Taya returned to her world with Linda’s wish, where she continued adventuring. She was known as a champion of the tournament.

- She is the 4th child out of nine siblings.
- Rómendil means “friend from the East”, a nickname given to her by elves living in the realms West of her homeland. Taya means “wheat field”, a common given name among humans.
