Sanctus Diamond
The Team’s Backbone
Field Value Full Name ”Princess” Sanctus Diamond Alias Sanny Gender Female Age Early 20s World Gemstone Sanctum Occupation Diamond Guardian Status Alive (Bratheon enforcer) Role Participant Team Bucket Servants Edition Crab 3 Creator X-Person
No strike, no God can ever penetrate this Diamond!
Sanctus is a participant of Crab 3, joining the team Bucket Servants. Sanctus is one of the three members of the Diamond Clan, trained through her life to fight gemstone thieves. Although never made the official leader of the team, after Sentimia’s departure she acts as the de facto leader of the Servants during the final round.
Appearance
Personality
Sanctus appears to be serious and imposing, but she is actually a pretty chill person who puts a lot of pressure on herself more than anything. She has high standards regarding relationships, acting, or even battle - as well as a superiority complex likely born from her judgemental mother’s abuse. Sanctus shows herself to be an honorable warrior, even rescuing her opponent in order to secure a fair fight or lowering her abilities on purpose for the same reason.
She is shown to be somewhat awkward in a relationship, feeling down about the Janitor’s rejection of her older version or annoyed by Davok sleeping with her after their match - revealing the image she presents of herself is not entirely as it seems.
Powers and Abilities
Sanctus’s power source is the Diamond in her neck, without which she would die. The diamond generates energy granting her super strength and super toughness, and it can be transmitted through any other regular diamond, like the ones she wields on her bracelets, amplifying its power.
In Round 3, Sanctus was granted her grandmother’s armor MK2, which granted her power akin to a walking nuclear warhead by draining the full power of the diamond in her neck. The armor protects her from deletion by divine beings, fire beams with tank-like firepower, and punch with deadly force of over a hundred tons, as well as generates devastating explosions around the user (though this could damage the armor itself). It also grants her the skill to move at the speed of sound for short bursts as well as slow down her perception of time and hover for short periods. The armor’s greatest skill is however the Diamond Barrier, a (temporary) barrier which is completely impenetrable to any kind of attack or power.
Were the diamond on her neck be damaged, Sanctus would die, but the resulting energy explosion would be great enough to obliterate a country.
Background
History
Recruitment
Sanctus found Kevin invading her home and attacking her mother - she defenestrated the frog then, much to the amusement of her brother. As she argued with him and her mother, she found herself suddenly transported to the Bucket, where the Gamemaster introduced himself in his many forms and the tournament, telling her the stakes and that her world would be destroyed if she lost. Sanctus was more confused at him having taken the form of a sphinx cat.
Round 1
Sanctus Diamond (lost, entry) vs Davok (won, entry) in Entertaining The Masses. Match page: C3 R1 - Sanctus vs Davok
In Centuria, both Sanctus and Davok joined the Empire.
In Sanctus’s reality, she was made to entertain the masses through a play - a life long dream of hers to act. As the play began and Sanctus began her soliloquy (about a character clearly based on herself), she was interrupted by an overly excited Hime playing the role of the evil demon, causing an angry Sanctus to BAP OOF punch Hime in the stomach, finally entertaining Davok who was in the audience. Though Hime continued the play, Davok interrupted and joined the scenario, telling Sanctus people wished for entertainment and not to listen to her mommy issues. Sanctus asked Davok if he wanted to be entertained, and when he flirted with her, she punched him, making him drop an oil lamp into the theater curtains and set the whole building on fire.
In Davok’s canon reality, Harry complained to Davok he could not find any good news in the city. Davok agreed, saying he was surprised the empire was even still running after having spoken with the Emperor. Caught by Sanctus who accused them of leaking secrets from the empire to the army, Davok decided to handle the situation with diplomacy, but Sanctus rallied the guards, causing Davok to start fighting by breaking a casket of beer and splashing the guards with it, Shrek style. After beating them all, Davok told the onlookers it was all a rehearsal of the incoming play that would occur, but was promptly punched in the face by Sanctus. Both began fighting fiercely, but then were arrested. Having made friends through the Empire, Davok managed to free both himself and Sanctus quickly, and invited her for a drink but she refused. Outside, Davok met Harry, who happily told him reporting on their squabble gave him the article he needed.
After this, Davok somehow seduced Sanctus and spent a night with her, much to her chagrin.
Round 2
Admiral Pizza (lost, entry) vs Sanctus Diamond (won) in Onsen. Match page: C3 R2 - Admiral Pizza vs Sanctus
In Admiral Pizza’s reality, Sanctus challenged the Admiral, who invited her to have pizza and a drink before their fight. However, the drinks had kaiju stem cells, causing both to grow giant. A battle ensued, and the Admiral tanked Sanctus’s hits and punched her through many buildings, creating a large explosion that destroyed much of the townscape.
In Sanctus’s canon reality, the Admiral went to face a hooded Sanctus on night, and the battle began with Sanctus firing her diamond beam at him, and later an exchange of blows. The Admiral came triumphant, but due to Sanctus having taken the age potion to become young, and turning old instead because the Gamemaster found it amusing. Stopping the battle, the Admiral offered Sanctus a special Pryde pizza to fix her woes, telling her to eat it and dip on an onsen to become young again. Afterwards, Sanctus was seen enjoying an onsen along with several girls (her team, Dizzy, Kome, Pe’le), and Overkill (in his crocodile form). Although Janny was invited, he refused to look at Sanctus because he could not like her older form - as the other girls reassured her, Sanctus followed the Admiral’s advice and reappeared young and naked in front of the Janitor, much to his delight. Promising him to sleep with him if he helped her win, she dropped the man and left, leaving him with a boner in front of the other Servants.
Round 3
Hime Mashima (lost) vs Sanctus Diamond (won). Match page: C3 R3 - Hime vs Sanctus
In Hime’s reality, Hime conversed with Kome about her upcoming match with Sanctus, feeling conflicted about even hurting the muscle-woman. Kome suggested Hime use a weapon like many Crabs, but Hime refused the idea, and told Kome that she greatly admired her opponent and her body, which she checked out one time she massaged it… although it had a great weakness, in the calves. Kome asked Hime to use that to her advantage, but the girl felt conflicted and said she hadn’t thought about it. When the match began, Sanctus declared she wished to make the battle fair and dropped her armor. Hime responded in gratitude by declaring she would not attack Sanctus’s calves, much to Sanctus’s confusion and Kome’s embarrassment. The battle began with Hime unleashing a flurry of attacks, before being promptly knocked in one BAP OFF punch by the Servant. Barely coherent, Hime managed to stand up and seeing Sanctus approaching, focused herself on her master teachings to dominate her body, delivering a punch with all her soul and a perfect knock-out.
In Sanctus’s canon reality, the woman faced an overly excited Hime, making Sanctus cringe. Sanctus took off the armor in order to make the battle fair, and the fighting ensued - with Hime first punching the woman on the stomach hard enough to make her throw up, then them trading blows, Sanctus even grabbing Hime to avoid her falling off the arena in order to not sour her victory. Dodging Sanctus blasts and even a full on Diamond Cannon, Hime approached her opponent, but ultimately in the final punch exchange Sanctus triumphed, caving Hime’s eye out with her fist. Although defeated, Hime expressed her content for having fought such a strong opponent and having fun, and Sanctus commended Hime for fighting well.
During the Three Team Vote, Bucket Servants’ wish of creating a pathway to the Bucket from other realities did not receive many initial votes, so Sanctus ultimately commanded her team and other Crabs to support the Brat Pack wish in order to avoid Eternal Crab repeating again, serving as a significant force to decide the Brat’s victory.
After Crab 3
After Brat Pack’s victory, Sanctus gifted Hime a diamond eyepatch and worked as the Bratheon’s enforcer. She also broke up with the Janitor, who could never forget Vivian, and gave a chance to dating Davok instead. She is seen in Kome’s epilogue hanging with Hime and accidentally activating a volcano.
In Sanctus epilogue, it’s shown that after every Crab got their wishes she still remained in the Bucket, brooding. Hime approached her alongside Kome to ask her what she wanted, but Sanctus told Hime she did not deserve a wish, listing the woes she had experienced during the tournament such as Sentimia leaving, Janitor and her breaking up or even her almost killing Hime. Though Hime tried to retort, Sanctus told her off calling the Brat gods too immature to be divinity and that Hime was not treating her with respect. Hime was saddened but following the advice of Kome, she returned and decked Sanctus on the face - lying on the ground after it, Sanctus gave a tearful smile.
