Davok is a participant of Crab 3, as a member of the Stuffed Crust Crusaders. A veteran from the Great Calamity War from his world and a seasoned monster hunter, Davok arrives to the tournament to both enjoy and test himself against the creatures summoned by the Gamemaster. He is a friend and ally of Jed, one of the winners of the previous CRAB Tournament.
Appearance
Personality
Davok is experienced, somewhat brash and charismatic. He has a habit of confronting people just to test them or mess with them. He knows how to lead and how to play high society, and in general shows himself to be good humored and relaxed. He has a strong like for the fine things of life, fighting, food, drinking and women.
He has an intense disgust for monsters and won’t show any kind of mercy for them, thriving in their slaughter.
Powers and Abilities
Davok is an experienced combatant who can take on powerful monsters with ease. His main weapon is a combat knife but he is able to make use of any weapon as well to improvise them, showing use of shotguns and explosives during combat. His personality allows him as well to make allies everywhere to help him if needed outside of battles. He is surprisingly durable for a human, being able to tank hits from Sanctus and continue fighting with no issue.
Davok’s real powers come from having fallen into one of the pools of blood left by the dead god of his world. It made him increased durability as well as regeneration, a power he enjoys to use to prolong his battles against seemingly superior foes. It can also mitigate to some degree mental manipulation or internal attacks used against him.
His real main ability given by the god’s blood is Velocity Manipulation: with it, Davok can both extremely increase or decrease the velocity of anything surrounding him. It allows him to reach speeds (or throwing speeds) that are likely on the top of every crab -perhaps surpassing Kome’s mindscape in top speed- or to simply stop any kind of attack or enemy around him to a complete halt. The ability can be used passively, as a field that stops attack from advancing towards him, can help him “fly” by stopping his descent from falling, as well as be used mentally to both accelerate a mind to better react to quick attacks or to slow one down for the opposite.
However, he usually refuses to use this power as he finds it makes battles too boring.
Background
History
He was recruited by Berbie who sent Kevin after him as Davok strolled through the city after finishing a job - the monster hunter quickly got the drop on Kevin and began strangling him with his own tongue. Berbie congratulated him and invited him to the tournament, though Davok replied that was just his job and invited the bird for a drink - saying his schedule was too tight, Berbie just had a giant crab claw transport Davok to the Bucket.
In Centuria he assisted to imperial meetings where he complained about the actions taken by the army - Cassidy pointing out he had been assigned to entertainment anyways.
Round 1
Sanctus Diamond (lost, entry) vs Davok (won, entry) in Entertaining The Masses. Match page: C3 R1 - Sanctus vs Davok
In Centuria, both Sanctus and Davok joined the Empire.
In Sanctus’s reality, she was made to entertain the masses through a play - a life long dream of hers to act. As the play began and Sanctus began her soliloquy (about a character clearly based on herself), she was interrupted by an overly excited Hime playing the role of the evil demon, causing an angry Sanctus to BAP OOF punch Hime in the stomach, finally entertaining Davok who was in the audience. Though Hime continued the play, Davok interrupted and joined the scenario, telling Sanctus people wished for entertainment and not to listen to her mommy issues. Sanctus asked Davok if he wanted to be entertained, and when he flirted with her, she punched him, making him drop an oil lamp into the theater curtains and set the whole building on fire.
In Davok’s canon reality, Harry complained to Davok he could not find any good news in the city. Davok agreed, saying he was surprised the empire was even still running after having spoken with the Emperor. Caught by Sanctus who accused them of leaking secrets from the empire to the army, Davok decided to handle the situation with diplomacy, but Sanctus rallied the guards, causing Davok to start fighting by breaking a casket of beer and splashing the guards with it, Shrek style. After beating them all, Davok told the onlookers it was all a rehearsal of the incoming play that would occur, but was promptly punched in the face by Sanctus. Both began fighting fiercely, but then were arrested. Having made friends through the Empire, Davok managed to free both himself and Sanctus quickly, and invited her for a drink but she refused. Outside, Davok met Harry, who happily told him reporting on their squabble gave him the article he needed.
After this, Davok somehow seduced Sanctus and spent a night with her, much to her chagrin.
Round 2
Ludwig Ross (lost, entry) vs Davok (won, entry) in Pachinko. Match page: C3 R2 - Ludwig vs Davok
In Japan, Davok became younger with the Age Elixir, while Ludwig became a girl with the Gender Potion.
In Ludwig’s reality, he went to pachinko with Davok, whom she planned to get money from by seducing him as a girl with the gender potion (totally not gay). For that he went to the bathroom and drank it, although when he tried to seduce the hunter Davok immediately pointed out that was gender-shifted Ludwig. Caught, Ludwig went for gaslighting and threw a tantrum at Davok for saying she looked like a man, etc. Begrudgingly Davok accepted to date her. They began gambling, but after 18 games they were not making any money and Davok was just having fun. Angry, Ludwig brought one of his robots to rig the machine, but the robot refused his orders as he was a woman did not recognize him as his master. Too broke for this shit, Ludwig decided to just mug Davok, who then revealed to have a wanted poster of the cat, having been playing him in order to capture him. As the gender potion effect wore off, Ludwig nervously laughed while he heard the sirens of many police cars surrounding the Casino.
In Davok’s canon reality, a young Davok and a female Ludwig gambled at the casino in Japan, piling up money and going through casino after casino. Davok was also hired to capture the crocodile Overcroc, which he accomplished after a hostage situation with the croc and Frankie - after that they kept making money, and Davok celebrated by drinking with Kome, Hime, Wanzu, Frankie and Rhea, then more money, more luxury, racing past Feddie and Cheras, as several cameos of previous tournaments show up. In the end Overkill was captured and handcuffed and Davok and Ludwig highfived.
He went on many escapades on his young form during his time in Japan, dating and banging Hime, having a date with Kome, banging Rhea, and going in a date with Wanzu as well, who reminded him of his late wife.
Round 3
Victory Man (lost, entry) vs Davok (won, entry). Match page: C3 R3 - Victory Man vs Davok
In Victory Man’s reality, the Victory Man declared Davok stood between him and serenity, as he wished to be unshackled from the abstraction of his reality, and for such his opponent had to be destroyed. He transformed then, his body bulging and filled with veins, eyes protruding, tongue splitting and twisting upon itself into a shape made for attaining victory. He shot then from his tongue and mouth a powerful energy beam, that vaporized Davok’s upper torso into a skeleton.
In Davok’s canon reality, the Gamemaster had spoken with Davok, noticing the man did not need a power up and that it was curious he refused to use his ability. He expected Davok to win unlike Jed on the last tournament. Jumping to one hour into the match, the monster hunter and the abomination were trading blows on equal terms, with Davok getting the upper hand with a feint and a surprise kick. Victory Man clasped Davok’s arm, but the hunter used this for a double kick - in response the monster pinned him down with a punch to the stomach and then attempted a double-hammer, which Davok stopped with his feet. Davok then pulled a double shotgun and shot at Victory Man’s eyes, blinding him for the moment: then grabbed a piece of the arena and launched it at the monster, who punched it into dust right in time. However, it was a distraction which Davok used to hit the monster with a grenade stick, exploding his arm and noted amused it could bleed. The Victory Man roared in anger then, and wrestled against the hunter before wrapping him with his tongue and launching him away. Davok quickly cut his enemy’s wrist, but Victory Man launched him in the air and then double kick dropped him against the arena, cracking it and leaving him on the ground. He declared victory was his, but on the ground, Davok mocked the sentiment, and wrapping the ultraviolents feet on dynamite it detonated it with a broken arm, ripping off one of his legs and standing again, declaring the fight was not yet over. He showed then his regeneration, healing his arm. Davok noted how most people would hide from such a creature and let it be, but he was in his prime: when Victory Man launched himself at him, he dodged the blow and broke its arm with a kick. Laying on the ground, Victory Man noted the irony of having been forged by gods who abandoned him with nothing but victory in mind yet being bested by a mortal, and warned Davok the strongest would always fail and that he would be forgotten too. Davok replied his gods did not abandon them - they were killed by them. As he brutally slashed through the enemy with his combat knife, he revealed the blood from the gods had given him visions of the future, that he would live another fifty years, that he refused to use the god’s power to deal with monsters such as him, to take out the trash. Victory Man asked him to stop, and Davok replied it would be over once he was dead, and ripped the monster’s signature tongue, killing him and declaring this was true victory (man…).
Admiral Pizza (lost, entry) vs Luigi and Stuffed Crust Crusaders (won, entry). Match page: C3 R3 - Admiral Pizza vs Luigi and Stuffed Crust Crusaders
In the Admiral’s reality, the Admiral faced the team in a Pizza eating contest out of anger of being left out from the Pizza team - both Luigi and the Admiral had participated in the American wars and considered each other enemies. The Crusaders began falling one after the other - Davok threw himself off the Bucket over believing himself a monster after eating too much pizza, Harry due to being caught cheating using a raccoon to eat the pizza for him, Morgan due to the pizza oil deactivating her nanomachines which she was also using to cheat, Celia not being able to handle so much sausage, and Vera dying in the timeskip with a robot skeleton she had left to eat for her running out of batteries. The Admiral messed with Luigi by eating pizza two-handed or cooling wine with ice, offending his Italian sensibilities. In the end, aeons passed as Luigi and the Admiral ate all the pizza in the world -there was no more food-, Soren became a survivor in a post apocalyptic world and went through seven timeskips, and ultimately realizing their war had ruined the world, both pizza men decided to make peace and forgive each other for their participation in the Civil War. As an angered Berbie demanded to see blood, Centurion then killed him with a punch, while Luigi and the Admiral shook hands and decided to just play videogames next.
In Luigi’s canon reality, the Bucket had been filled with sand and Luigi activated the headquarters battlemode, launching two tanks with his team to hunt down the Admiral who went at them on his own (he represented the American pizza flag while they were the Soviet pizzacutter flag). The Crusaders spent a night camping preparing for battle, Harry looking at his furry girlfriend, Morgan at her fangirl, Davok drinking gasoline and Celia running out of booze. Later Berbie waited, and noticed the fight had begun, the tanks shooting at the Admiral who dodged the bullets. Morgan put her nanites on the next shot, and when the Admiral dodged it they grabbed him. Using his arm power then, Harry summoned not a sword but a giant pizza cutter against the Admiral, who punched it back at the man destroying the tank where Harry and Vera were in. Vera and Celia then began to shoot at him, with no effect - the distraction allowed Morgan to run and punch him in the stomach, launching him towards Davok who uppercut him and used his power to send him flying at max speed towards another pizza cutter summoned by Harry - with this combination, the Admiral was finally defeated and gave up, and the team saluted their leader Luigi. Meanwhile, a dejected Berbie gave a sigh as he was expecting for them to arrive to a regular pizza making competition.
After Crab 3
After the tournament, Davok asked the Bratheon to wander around on different worlds, knowing them before returning home. He chose first to visit the place where the previous competition happened, and encountered Jed and Leuca’s kid, who he took under his wing. He was supposed to have a date with Sanctus but something happened and he never showed up (who knows). He is seen in Kome’s epilogue enjoying pizza with his team as well.
