It just feels like wherever I go... I make my life a living hell.

Tripp is a participant of Crab 3, as a member of Brat Pack. He is a young man raised on a ghetto environment where only the hardest survive - in his world, he performs criminal acts against the authority in an attempt to rebel and carve his path out of the terrible world around him.

Appearance

Personality

At first glance, Tripp seems to be a very confident and relaxed individual, preferring to observe and act from the shadows. He is good-natured but acts like a minor delinquent, being perfectly capable to steal, trick people, or dirty his hands without any regard for authority, often playing innocent until the last moment. His relaxed attitude makes one believe he takes most things as a joke.

In truth, beneath that attitude, Tripp has a lot of issues connecting with others due to his own feelings of inadequacy, generated by the abuse he received at the hands of his father figure and exacerbated by the bad experiences he endures through the tournament. He struggles with feelings of hopelessness and the idea that he ruins all opportunities presented, with his only friend back home being the only thing that gave him ease. In that regard, Tripp ends up slowly warming up to the rest of his team enough for them to put their trust in him and vice-versa - and thanks to Dylan, ends up as well accepting himself and believing in his future.

Powers and Abilities

Tripp is by all accounts initially a regular human, although he shows to have a lot of guile befitting a delinquent. His main specialty is to create the worst drugs ever, capable to induce powerful hallucinations and even divine visions, which he enjoys experimenting with. He is shown being resourceful in that regard, capable of creating a truth-serum style drug, and also being able to lace the drugs without others noticing, mostly for his enjoyment.

On Round 3, Tripp got access to a gun. He also got both vail from Kome and paper from Sack and used it to create a drug in the manner of the smoke-veil inhaled by the high priests of Kome’s world, a powerful drug that reaches the inner mind, produces powerful, guilt-tripping hallucinations, and can very often induce death or suicide.

After facing Dylan, the Odyssey member helped Tripp ascend into divinity when Tripp triggered a memento, transforming him as the God of Hope. In such a form he had complete control over weather phenomena, primarily the element of wind, air, and even atmosphere. It also grants him flight and a particularly powerful power known as “Second Wind” which has the power to completely heal a dying creature. Like Dylan, his powers are holy and can erase evil. Tripp also gains the usual attributes of a divinity such as immortality.

After Brat Pack obtained the wish, Tripp retained his form but ascended even further, allowing him to have full control over every other being in the universe so as long as the rest of the team approved the use of the power.

Background

History

Round 1

Tripp Rosewood (won, entry) vs Harry Chamberland (lost, entry) in Fabricate/Expose The Truth. Match page: C3 R1 - Tripp vs Harry

In Centuria, Tripp joined the Forest Alliance while Harry joined the Brotherhood of Shadows.

In Harry’s reality, Luigi contacted Harry and asked him to discover a big secret being hidden by the Forest Alliance. Harry began reporting on the forest in a news broadcast and killed two random faeries through it. He was later detained by the captain of the elite elven guard, who thought him an imperial spy, and asked what his sunglasses were. Harry called him a retard and then int: 1, which offended the elf enough to challenge the crab to a duel. Harry killed the elf and took his clothes and the tips of his ears to disguise himself - then met a smoking Tripp along with some Crabs and elves by the forest. Tripp offered him a smoke, and after taking a hit Harry threw the cigarette near a cabin where Wietse was, making it explode. Tripp asked who Harry was and he pretended to be the captain, to which a relieved Tripp responded that was good since he could not give outsiders that smoke - a secret mana weed with which the Forest planned to win the war by stopping the Empire’s industrial revolution. Fed up with how one of the stoner elves spoke, Harry grabbed him by the throat and killed him by launching him against Der Baum so hard the elf tore into pieces. He then thanked Tripp and they kissed. The reporting ended with Harry assuring the viewers he had thought of everything and that the trail of destruction he left was part of a plan of his (and him having carved a crude drawing of Florida Man on Der Baum.)

In Tripp’s canon reality, Harry had been contacting Tripp for information. Visiting him in the forest one day - and getting some nicotine from the delinquent, Harry started to feel distrustful of the intel he had been receiving as it had not been useful in the last exchanges. He decided Tripp was a retard and that he would kill him now, but was interrupted by Tripp saying he didn’t even remember the information (lies) Harry gave him. Harry angrily shouted the Empire troops were heading west, confessing a truth he did not intend to - after making Harry spell out all the information, Tripp revealed he had laced the nicotine with a truth shroom, although it only worked if they both smoked him, and assured Harry he would not die from it. Furious, Harry attacked Tripp, and damaged him, but could not finish him before falling due to the drug. A bit hurt and also starting to feel the effects of the shroom, Tripp ended up fainting as well.

After Round 1, Tripp is seen on Kome’s first epilogue celebrating along with the rest of his team, even though they majorly lost.

Round 2

Florida Man (lost, entry) vs Tripp Rosewood (won, entry) in Hentai. Match page: C3 R2 - Florida Man vs Tripp

In Japan, both Tripp and Florida Man took on the Kemono potion, turning into racoon kemonos.

In Florida Man’s reality, Tripp woke up bound and naked in a room, captured by Florida Man who had been experimented on and turned into a lust demon by Tredecima. He then put his engorged dick in Tripp’s mouth, then raped him, though Tripp was really into it. After that Florida Man injected Tripp with the gender changing potion and brought the rest of the Ultraviolent members, all turned males, for a gangbang (wearing Teresa’s hat so Godefroy hallucinated it was her). When they were done and the hat fell off, Godefroy got angry, called him a NIIIIIIIGGGGGG- and did a nuclear explosion.

In Tripp’s canon reality, he and Florida Man did a beer run together in Kabukicho. Amicably conversing, Tripp revealed he was a virgin and Florida Man decided to get him laid. They went to a whorehouse then, although Tripp was suspicious about how empty it was and just let Florida Man fuck all twenty-nine hookers. However, Tripp’s suspicions were soon proven right as the whole place was revealed to be the trap of a spider yokai, and the girls merely doll corpses. The yokai tied Tripp and F. Man by their dicks, the first struggling and the second enjoying it, and pulled to eat them. Desperate to get out, Tripp drank the gender potion in order to turn female and escape. In his/her attempt to release Florida Man, the thread cut and the man smashed against a wall, breaking his own gender potion inside his ass and becoming Florida Woman. Florida Woman then goaded female Tripp to help her fuck the spider yokai together because their pride was on the line, and a sex battle ensued, with Tripp thinking it was good enough to live for (ichigai). After defeating the monster, they both conversed and Florida Man revealed no girl had ever really been his girlfriend because of his size - Tripp responded by turning back into a male and impregnating Florida Man.

Tripp is seen in the epilogue of Kome’s Round 2 celebrating with other friendly teams having not been raped, although this was ambiguous in the end as the gangbang became so prevalent it half became a canon-event, damaging his psyche.

Round 3

Dylan Lucas Mostynn (forfeited the gold) vs Tripp Rosewood (received dylan’s gold). Match page: C3 R3 - Dylan vs Tripp

Before Round 3, Dylan had been so busy that he missed his match announcement, meanwhile Tripp’s mental slowly deteriorated as he goes cold turkey. The combination of misfortunes that happened to him like the near overdose, his unfortunate event in Round 2, and his eventual supposed death match for Round 3 had broken his mind and made him lose hope.

Tripp’s part starts with Tripp’s flashback with his best friend PJ, with PJ telling him to make new friends. Tripp remembers this in the present as he watches Wietse get imprisoned to Nuremberg with contempt. Hime notices his change in demeanor and requests Kome to cheer him up. Kome tries to lift his spirits but was met with resistance as Tripp slowly remembers his Round 2 and promptly vomits in disgust.

The time for Round 3 came, Tripp shudders as he realizes that he is facing a godlike being. Dylan, who has no intention in harming Tripp, tries to reason with Tripp, but Tripp attacks him with a gun which Dylan easily dodges and shoots the gun off Tripp’s hand. Tripp then attacks with his knife, managing to stab Dylan in his arm but Dylan shrugs it off, cauterizing it with healing fire before Dylan throwing the knife and Tripp away. Knowing there’s no other way out, Tripp jumps to the gun to try committing suicide but Dylan shoots and destroys his gun.

In sheer desperation, Tripp used his secret weapon, a bomb of veil and a blunt made of Sack’s skin and Kome’s veil. He throws it at Dylan, hoping he would overdose. Unfortunately, Dylan is an ancient and has extremely high tolerance for drugs, the veil did nothing on him. Tripp on the other hand starts going insane because of veil overdose. Having hallucinations of his abusive father, the friends that abandoned him, and eventually Tredecima decapitating all of his friends in front of him. Tripp starts giving in to despair when he is suddenly transported in a field of poppies, seeing Dylan praying over the monument of the lost heroes. Tripp started experiencing Dylan’s life as he learns of his background, learning that they have a lot in common: having and losing friends and being alone. Suddenly, PJ appears behind him, giving Tripp a tight comforting hug. Tripp sees Dylan hugging his master while PJ reassures him that like Dylan to his master and to his friends, he won’t ever leave him. Tripp wakes up from this trance. It is revealed that him snapping off was the work of Dylan’s Memento of Wisdom, saving him from the veil’s deadly effects.

Continuing the match, Dylan chastises Tripp for giving up easily, the wisdom showed Dylan that deep inside, Tripp’s source of hope was his friends. He then strips off his weapons, clothes, and even the other Mementos, challenging Tripp to a fair fist fight. Tripp, having his hope reignited, started throwing punches. Dylan easily overpowers Tripp, but each time he falls, Tripp kept standing up. His resolve to keep fighting the impossible resonated with the Memento of Hope. As the Memento appears by his side, Tripp delivers a storming punch so hard that it created a powerful gust stretching outside the Bucket. Dylan gets knocked down but gets up, realizing what happened. All of the spectators and commentators stare in awe as Tripp had finally transformed as an ascended: Tripp, Chosen by Hope. Tripp realizing his power, leaps to Dylan to try to ring out him, Dylan strangely did not fight back, choosing to open himself up so Tripp can knock him out the ring. As Tripp tackles Dylan midair, Dylan suddenly hugs him, noting how he had undergone so many unfortunate events, yet he still kept fighting. Dylan then says that he is proud of him, touching Tripp deeply as he cries. Tripp manages to ring out Dylan, earning him the win.

As Dylan accepts his defeat and exits, Tripp goes to him, questioning if he gave the win away. Dylan assures him that he deserves it and he’d rather give the win to someone whose team has a chance of winning. Dylan requests Tripp that he uses his powers to protect his friends, now that he has the absolute power of the gods and holy wind. Tripp reassures him with an enthusiastic thumbs up and a very bright smile.

After Crab 3

After Brat Pack won the wish, Tripp ascended into greater godhood while retaining his God of Hope form. He decided to punish a regretful Florida Man by leaving him in Gouda’s hands. He also collected gifts from each Brat Pack member, which he presented to Dylan before the Odyssey left. He is seen in Kome’s epilogue playing games with Sack, and later celebrating the year anniversary with the rest of his god team.

Trivia

  • Despite being known as the stoner guy, most of Tripp’s actual characterization barely shows him like this -outside of his knowledge of drugs-.
  • Tripp was faded all throughout his entire CRAB -R3 and beyond are the exceptions-.
  • He got the Hentai protagonist bangs.
  • Tripp’s last name was decided by an outside party.
  • His initial wish was “a hamburger”, although he probably was being cheeky.
