There is no pulse, therefore there is no impulse. Don't worry, I know a spell for this... You can do it.
Ocapon (real name Unúriel) is a participant of Crab 3, as the headliner of team Light Magic Club. She is an adventurer elf magician with a building on her head that changes according to her will or mood (usually a lighthouse). She is the adventuring partner of Taya, the winner of Crab 1.
Appearance
Personality
Ocapon is usually calm and collected. She is also an introvert who almost never raises her voice, speaking in a low monotone cadence. She shows herself to be mainly curious about research and magics, particularly studying things she doesn’t know. She has a strong analytical mind through battles and strategy but not much of a presence, causing her to be overshadowed in her own team by other more outspoken members and having to go along with their antics.
Despite her autistic demeanor, Ocapon seems to have a good understanding of the human heart, being able to motivate Awesoman into heroics with a simple “spell” of encouragement, as well as ally and work alongside Lenard without issues.
Powers and Abilities
Ocapon is a capable and experienced spell-caster, using just her hands to convey her magic without any flashiness or light, allowing for quick deployment of effective spells. She has the ability to mold the state of any non-living matter she touches, which she utilizes for her alchemy experiments - in battle, it allows her to easily mold a hole through a thick wall, to disarm or melt weapons and objects at a mere tap. Although she might not have the raw reality-breaking power members like Dizzy or Wanzu does, she more than makes up for it through a very analytical approach to fighting, being a notorious hoarder of information regarding all her adversaries and capable to come up with novel ways to engaging and overcoming their defenses using her skills. For this cause as well and for her analysis of magic, Ocapon’s glasses grant her Perfect Vision, being able to see the inner workings, aura, magic and every state of whoever she looks at through them. Ocapon is also equipped with magical socks that are completely impervious to damage, allowing her feats such as to easily walk on lava, and a pocket watch that converts mana into kinetic energy, granting her the ability to “stop time” and paralyze the movement of any physical or magical thing around her through its duration.
Ocapon uses marbles/orbs to condense and apply magic, extending the area of influence of her spells. She is able to sublimate the orbs themselves to turn them into vapor and as such being able to control the air around her to fly. Using them she was able to create a sea of bursting fire around the arena, icy homing spikes, or even a potent hurricane. Among the greatest of her skills shown was an anti-matter marble capable to generate a devastating explosion taking over the entire sky.
When she faced Soren, she was also granted a modified Marble which allowed her to completely delete the soul of anyone she would hit with it.
Background
History
Round 1
Unúriel Ocapon (late, entry) vs Lenard (late, entry) in Spread Fear. Match page: C3 R1 - Ocapon vs Lenard
In Centuria, Ocapon became part of the Brotherhood of Shadows, while Lenard led a vast horde army.
In their shared reality, both were contacted by their respective factions to spread fear among the Empire in order to favor their own. Ocapon received advice from Wanzu about the real nature of irreality, while Lenard read a Harry article about a Senator who had been killed and had his face stolen. Both said they were ready. Lenard prepared his army, and dressed one of the orcs (Japanese) with human clothes and the dead senator’s face. Ocapon walked to the Imperial castle, but was refused entry - at the same time then the orcs arrived, releasing a river of fire around the castle and preparing to siege it. Breaking through the door back outside with her magic, the elf put the invading army on the run by walking through the lava and dismantling their ram with one touch, and thus was invited to speak with the Emperor. Ocapon told the Emperor about the Brotherhood of Shadows conspiring against the Empire, but was interrupted by the orc pretending to be the senator (which everyone believed). Being inherently evil, she hurt the senator’s feelings by pointing out it was an orc in disguise. Then, the horde armies invaded, pushed back by an exasperated Lenard, while the Senator was convincing everyone of Ocapon being an agent of the Forest Alliance due to her being an elf. The orcs broke into the palace, but Ocapon used this to show how the orc’s rations looked warped and infected, and explained there was a plague released by the Brotherhood which would soon destroy the Capital, making the orcs once again run along with the Senator. Tired of the orc’s incompetence since the Plague had been developed by Stitch and they were immune to it, Lenard threw the Senator off his blimp and decided to lead the invasion himself, turning into an enormous shadow monster. He encountered Ocapon, who, unimpressed, apparently was able to see through something of his magic, causing Lenard to panic and offer instead a contract - that she would not reveal his secret in exchange for him helping her. Ocapon read the contract and accepted. To test the contract’s magical binding properties, she tried to spill the beans and was electrocuted. On the floor, she suggested Lenard could offer the cure for the plague for people to give up their allies, which he commended as good thinking. They both spread the plague and fear together then, burning down the forests, bullying the Janitor, and spreading chaos together. After this, they both summoned the Brotherhood of Shadow leaders, and threatened them to sign another magical binding contract accepting their success in fulfilling their quests, and to give up the leadership to their more capable masters: the Jelliuska aliens from Wanzu’s reality.
Round 2
Awesoman (won, entry) vs Unúriel Ocapon (lost, entry) in Kaiju. Match page: C3 R2 - Awesoman vs Ocapon
In Japan, Ocapon took on the age elixir, aging ten years with no change, while Awesoman drank the anime potion and got Saitama’s powers.
In their shared reality, Ocapon and Dizzy were hanging at the Edo-Tokyo Museum inside one of the exhibitions (turned alive by Dizzy), but Dizzy had to leave to go to her match with Wietse. Meanwhile, Awesoman was facing a giant Kaiju braphog, who tail-kicked him into the museum and into the exhibition Ocapon was watching. The small alive exhibition people ran in fear, to protect their Emperor. Coming out of the bathroom (and from the exhibition as well, recovering her normal size) without washing her hands, Ocapon asked Awesoman to stop and charged magic on her hands, causing the hero to retreat and then threaten her with his awesome-vision if she would not stop… yet to his surprise, Ocapon used her magic to repair the damage on the exhibition he caused, and was thanked by the figures and their emperor, who told the elf it was not like her to neglect her own world. After that, Ocapon then approached a conflicted Awesoman who was bothered about losing his battle with the kaiju. She told him that for all his powers he lacked heart, but she had a spell to fix it, and wished him good luck and told her everyone was counting on him. Although Awesoman called her rousing speech lackluster, he was motivated enough to return, and using his one punch man power blew the top half of the Braphog in one single attack.
Round 3
Soren and Centurion (won, entry) vs Unúriel Ocapon (lost, entry). Match page: C3 R3 - Soren and Centurion vs Ocapon
In Ocapon’s reality, Ocapon had gathered from the heavily charged magical air around her an incredible supply of orbs to wield in combat. Meanwhile, Soren, Kome and Cassidy were enjoying icecream and talking, with Kome underestimating the elf due to her not showing much on the tournament - but Cassidy argued there was a reason why Ocapon had been chosen as a headliner and that she was never seen not studying. Kome replied there were limits to what knowledge could help one overcome. Ocapon was then seen later training with Wanzu, and explaining she would convert all her remaining mana into kinetic energy through her watch, allowing her to stop the physical and magical on their tracks, while Soren spoke with Awesoman who warned him to not overestimate the other headliner. Ocapon then explains her strategy against Centurion’s many abilities: to saturate the barrier with orbs in physical form and then turning them magic causing it to repel them in all directions destroying itself, to destroy the bolts generating electrical currents, and to use the natural openings on Centurion’s laser-eye beams to destroy his view from the inside and blind him. The battle then later began, Soren apologizing they would have to do this and promising Ocapon he would let her study Centurion afterwards. Ocapon was thrilled, and the fight began with Centurion smashing rocks against her, then her flying up and destroying her thunder add-ons, then dodging his eye lasers and blinding him. Desperate, Soren commanded Centurion to launch the Emperor of All Bombs, a massive blast attack using his back-missiles. However, all the heat released caused, as Ocapon planned, Soren’s watch to be destroyed. Refusing to lose, Soren then commanded Centurion to self destruct - though Ocapon tried to stop it, ultimately both the hero and his robot died. His grave is seen attended by Cassidy and Ocapon afterwards.
In an alternate reality of Ocapon, Soren survived, though Centurion was destroyed. Mad at the random ruling and life-wasting of the tournament, she challenged the Gamemaster himself, and used his rules against him and her anti-matter marbles to trap him into a recursive Bucket.
In Soren’s canon reality, Ocapon recalled her time with Taya and her other friend adventuring, how I missed them, and the experiences she had in CRAB she would like to share with them, thinking she would not take their time with them granted (common elf L) and treasure their time together. In Soren’s destroyed world, a Mighty King refused to see worlds destroyed by the tournament and, using his sword to cut through dimensions, came into the Bucket, hoping to see Soren win and rewrite the destruction of his world. Meanwhile, Cassidy did the last repairs on Centurion and Monomyth wished Soren good luck in his battle. In the Bucket, the fight was about to begin and, on the upper stages watching, the King and Wanzu argued who would be the ultimate winner of it. As Soren approached the arena, he encountered Maiden 4 and Kome, who were there to wish him luck. Kome joked (citation needed) she would turn him into a dog, and gave him a kiss of appreciation. Maiden 4’s gift was to paint a King of Spade symbol on Soren’s arm, naming him now a member of the Blast Rites. Before they split, she asked him if they would go back to being enemies after the tournament ended. Soren responded they would make up for those twelve lost years, and they held hands, before Maiden 4 asked Centurion to protect him and left. Now alone, Soren called Centurion his best friend and they both entered the stage. Meanwhile in her room reading, Ocapon was visited by John the Silent, an enemy of Soren and Centurion, from a parallel world that was not destroyed during the previous tournament. John revealed he had taken Ocapon’s friends as hostages and blackmailed her to do something for him during the match. Back in the arena, the King sensed the arrival of the one who dictated Soren’s world fate, the Narrator, his enemy. The Gamemaster stopped them from fighting by warping the King’s sword, and ultimately they sat to see the match as Ocapon finally entered the arena. The battle began, with Ocapon activating her watch, setting orbs all around the field and exploding them into a continuous burst of magical energy surrounding the titan. Soren erased the fire with a barrier, and Ocapon turned the arena into spikes he launched at them, but Centurion deflected them with his fists. Ocapon then summoned a powerful hurricane, blowing Soren off his friend, but Soren used the watch’s gadget to tie himself and Centurion grabbed him. Now as Centurion released lightning, Ocapon decided to use her Anti-matter Marble, while Centurion activated his God-Mode, capable of destroying beings such as even the Narrator. Centurion grabbed the marble and contained it, flying upwards and resulting on a massive explosion. Now alone, Ocapon apologized to Soren for Centurion’s death, but he showed her the titan was still alive - having held onto the walls of the Bucket before sending the marble upwards. Soren then shot Ocapon’s watch out of her hand, and Centurion grabbed her, ready to ring her out. As they prepared to do so, Soren noticed the trap and in panic told Centurion to drop the elf and move to John, but the falling Ocapon aimed a modified, soul-erasing marble given to her by John the Silent, and fired it striking Soren. To the panic and sadness of the onlookers, Soren fell more than dead and Centurion deactivated, falling still. The Narrator and John triumphantly left, as a sad and regretful Ocapon closed Soren’s eyes.
After Crab 3
After the tournament, Ocapon returned to her world. He made a wish to Hime, but the contents or results are not known. It is likely she returned to her adventuring, as she is seen entering a dungeon with Taya in Kome’s epilogue.
Relationships
Life Within CRAB
She was often confused with Kalinka as they both look rather similar. This caused some to believe them to be witches and put on a stake to be burned, but they survived the ordeal.
.
She had a liking for Sack and also spent some time with Vera.
