You are Rhea. You know what you are good at. You need to prove it. You want that ginger, and if you need to, you'll take it... BY FORCE!

Rhea deciding to steal the ingredients on Round 2.

Your waking should have spent praying... for this day is your final.

Monkshood facing Boxing Wizard.

Rhea Nởhoa and her guardian cat Monkshood are participants of Crab 3, joining the team Bucket Servants. Veterans to a war of angels, aliens and humans, they both exist as both dead and undead existences - their being fused with parallel selves which allows them to strain reality to their souls’ desires, and usually work as scouts for threats for the existences above them.

Appearance

Personality

Rhea is crass, brass, and a little ass. She is constantly in rebellion against everything and seems eager to pick a fight. However, she can also be chill and trust others - she got along with her team and was even getting along with Morgan before she got tricked and went to a rage. Although she is street smart, she is not very knowledgeable and can be simple minded. Through the tournament, she constantly tries to prove herself - consistently bothered on her dependence on Monkshood, reaching her height during her transformation and massacre of Boxing Wizard - ultimately, being approached by Sentimia and seeing the similarly chaotic Ant allows her to calm down and decide to trust others.

Monkshood is British. He has a stiff upper lip and tends to be cutting and sometimes a bit controlling as he believes (or rather knows) he holds the answers for Rhea. He can do plans and is willing to risk his skin despite being just a cat outside of his power - but he can be short sighted in regards to emotions, failing to properly steer Rhea in a rightful direction.

Powers and Abilities

Two versions of her spirit coexist in Rhea, allowing her to warp reality. As she focuses on the hunt (on killing her target), reality warps her being increasing her strength, stamina, endurance and the like. The more it increases, the more her own shape will distort and transform to adapt to these changes. Rhea’s most usual transformation - but nowhere her strongest - is that of a savage werewolf. With it she was able to trounce the powerful Boxing Wizard to pieces without Monkshood’s assistance and using this strength she was able to kick him upwards to incredible distances.

Due to the reality warping nature of her power, Rhea is arguably one of if not the most powerful Bucket Servant contestant, however her total inability to properly use such skills leaves her behind her capabilities. Besides that, she also carries with her a Sallybox, a device that allows her a pocket dimension between timelines, outside of both time and space.

Rhea is an avid cook as well.

As for Monkshood, he is able to read people’s futures with precision, enough to even be able to predict the specific moves someone will take during a battle among differing possible timelines. His Bell is haunted by a Weave, a spirit double allowing him to detect when someone enters a timeline. He can audit another being’s death with ease as well as merge with creatures if their desires synchronize. As multiple possible futures exist, and thus multiple times and ways a creature can die, Monkshood can necessarily pinpoint which events can happen to spare/end a creature’s life.

Destroying his bell does not get rid of his power, but it would weaken it.

Background

History

Recruitment

Rhea and Monkshood were discussing anime (the cat’s hate for it) when they encountered Kevin. Rhea casually greeted him, but Monkshood was horrified. She told him [[Kevi] was a nice guy, to which Monkshood asked if Rhea had fucked him (she denied it). Rhea explained then how Kevin had appeared in a competition Heliotrope, someone they knew, had been in, and offered them to join Crab, to which Heliotrope sent Rhea in his place. She had begun fighting Kevin to enter then but they had put off the fight and he was there to finish it. When Monkshood refused to help her in this second bout, Rhea had no issue and transformed into a more beastly form, dodging Kevin’s attacks and throwing him. She noted his armor just made him heavier, then asked for her Sallybox, which Monkshood threw at her. Taking a big long “something” from it, she noted Kevin had a hole somewhere in that armor. Kevin’s screams were heard afterwards.

She later discussed with the cat about the worlds of the losers being destroyed, Monkshood calling such a deal demonic and Rhea wondered if the Gamemaster was bluffing. Seeing her team name, Rhea approved as she always “loved” custodian work.

Rhea took over Janny duties for a while as well, cleaning the homes of different Crabs and enduring their chaos. Sentimia tried to cheer her up, but an exhausted Rhea just screamed at her in frustration.

Round 1

Rhea Nohoa and Monkshood (won, entry) vs Morgan O’Reilly (lost, entry) in Steal Documents. Match page: C3 R1 - Rhea and Monkshood vs Morgan O’Reilly

In Centuria, both Morgan and Rhea joined the Brotherhood of Shadows.

In Morgan’s reality, the girls sent Monkshood to steal the documents they needed from a tower, which he accomplished (and disgusted Morgan by talking). Morgan and the duo conversed and argued about what was natural or not as they snuck into the tower, with Morgan explaining her smoking habits were due to the nicotine calming the violent nanomachines in her body. In the end they dispatched the imperial guards and Morgan asked Rhea to watch over the door, handing her a gun, while she stole what they needed. However, it was all a ploy - Morgan stole everything, turned invisible and surprise attacked Rhea, knocking her out and locking her cat. She then left, leaving Rhea to take the fall for the heist.

In Rhea’s canon reality, Rhea took out the guards and awaited outside while Morgan and a distrusting Monkshood entered the tower. The documents they aimed to steal were orders of the Empire to attack the everglades. Morgan used her nanites to stab Monkshood and left him bleeding, and escaped leaving the two behind to take the blame. Rhea caught up with her and attacked her in her half-wolf form, battling through the forest. Ultimately, Morgan got the upper hand, wrapping Rhea in her nanites - but they were both found by the imperial soldiers then. Surrounded, Luigi appeared and rescued Morgan, although she objected she could fight. When asked about the documents, she noticed they were gone and Luigi pointed out she had been tricked. It’s revealed then Monkshood had predicted the outcomes of Rhea killing or stealing the plans from Morgan, and asked Rhea to pursue their objective and just humiliate Morgan. Convincing the soldiers of being a crab agent of the Empire, Rhea got their assistance on delivering the plans wherever she wanted to.

Round 2

Rhea Nohoa and Monkshood (won, entry) vs Vera (lost, entry) in Tempura. Match page: C3 R2 - Rhea and Monkshood vs Vera

In Japan, Rhea took on the Anime Potion, Monkshood took the kemono and gender potion becoming a glasses milf, and Rhea took on either the gender potion becoming male or the kemono one becoming a catgirl.

In Vera’s reality, Rhea and Monkshood wandered with the first complaining there wasn’t much to do in Japan. Vera had been transported there first from Centuria and was hungry as she had missed on the forest alliance feast for her victory. She decided to follow them deeming them suspicious while the two wondered how to get some money and where to eat, Rhea almost catching the Polish girl spying. Rhea ultimately found a tempura place run by Luigi which was hiring and they began cooking, Rhea ignoring the recipe and doing her own while admitting she would not mind to do that for her future. Monkshood asked her if she had no stake in this tournament, and Rhea screamed she did not even know what was her purpose - right then, the spying Vera fell from the roof. Angered, Rhea threw the tempura at her and Vera instinctively ate it turning into a catgirl. Seeing someone with seemingly powers like her, Rhea decided to not give up on the tournament and continue fighting, leaving Vera to despair about what to tell her girlfriend Polina regarding her transformation.

In Rhea’s canon reality, Rhea left Monkshood eating lunch as she went on to walk in Japan, wondering what her reason to be was and lamenting not having money. She and Vera encountered a restaurant owner who got into a fight with his chef and kicked him out, so he hired them on the spot if they would compete to see who made the best tempura. They both accepted for a prize of 3k Yen. Rhea soon found she had no good ingredients, while Vera had brought her own. She tried to snatch a jar of ginger from Vera, who stopped her with a knife and told her she pitied her. Rhea considered killing Vera, but ultimately realized she wanted to prove her worth in her other skills and decided to take the ginger by force, yet the communist slapped it away. Right then, Monkshood came in his milf form, which Rhea recognized due to his bell, and Rhea invited him to sit. Monkshood, having only ever eaten cat food and a raw diet before, thought the basic fried tempura Rhea made was delicious, but noted there was something in it, with Rhea admitting she had put some of the anime potion in it - it gave Monkshood a split tail like a Nekomata. Vera, who had been goaded to also try it, got instead her face full of holes like a Junji Ito character and died. Rhea then threatened the store owner to give her the money, and as they left the store Monkshood scolded her about her violent attitude and actions.

At around some point during this she had a “date” with young Davok (they fucked). Somehow this resulted in a repeat of The Destruction of Iceland from Rhea’s timeline.

Round 3

Boxing Wizard (lost) vs Rhea Nohoa and Monkshood (won, entry). Match page: C3 R3 - Boxing Wizard vs Rhea and Monkshood

Boxing Wizard was NOT Odyssey’s decisive weapon, as he failed to materialize.

In Rhea’s only and canon reality, Rhea went into Monomyth’s base looking for Adni, who was desperately looking for Pillow and seeking to leave the tournament. Their fight had started minutes ago, but Adni replied he could not fight as finding Pillow was more important to him, equating the relationship to that of Rhea’s and Monkshood. Although Rhea accepted this, she was bothered people thought of herself as useless without the cat and wanted to prove them wrong. On the rescheduled match, Rhea jumped into the arena ready to prove herself, and began insulting the Boxing Wizard, who responded by delivering a devastating blow to her stomach. Angered, Rhea started transforming into her full werewolf form, causing many in the audience to laugh as her transitioning body looked ridiculous. At that point Monkshood arrived, and observed how Rhea quickly threw her enemy into the air as she finished her transformation. Worried, he requested Sentimia to transport him inside the arena, who watched in silent horror as Rhea savagely ripped her opponent’s arms off and vivisected him. Monkshood entered the arena on his own in time to watch the animal begin devouring her prey, and told a rabid Rhea to stop herself. Rhea refused, but when Monkshood asked to know her wish, she hesitated and was then knocked out by the Wizard, who regenerated and used his cut off fists as floating weapons. Taking over the battle, Monkshood then engaged the opponent, using his prediction to dodge the blows. Rhea then was awoken by Sentimia, who cheekily played her to convince her to go help her friend. Choosing to outspeed the Wizard, Rhea and Monkshood danced around it until she double-jaw-kicked him sending him flying upwards in a massive blast, leaving the creature merely a torso floating in orbit. The audience was however enraged at this development, saying Rhea had received help from both Sentimia and her cat. Immediately afterwards, the Ant jumped into the arena and hit Rhea’s leg, causing Sentimia to jump as well and begin their battle.

After Crab 3

After Brat Pack got her wish, Rhea returned to her duties. It is unlikely she asked anything of the new gods, but she is seen in Kome’s epilogue visiting Vera to seemingly apologize.

Monkshood’s current whereabouts are unknown, having disappeared after Berbie merged all /crab/ 3 timelines.

Trivia

  • Monkshood is a Cornish Rex.
  • Anal queen.
  • The Weave and Overlay system from Rhea and Monkshood’s canon is based on the combination of Schrodinger’s Cat and Cabbalah, each of those two having a “living” and “dead” spirit inside of them. Monkshood’s abilities are an inversion of the literal Schrodinger’s Cat metaphor.
  • Rhea’s surname is a combination of “Nở,” meaning “bloom,” and “Hoa,” meaning “flower.” Additionally, “No” also exists as a Korean form of the Chinese surname “Lú,” meaning “black,” “rice bowl,” and “sloppy.” Monkshood’s name is a reference to monkshood flowers, which symbolize nearby danger.
