“I’m a bisexual catgirl with a big butt. You down? Or do I need to keep talking?”
Locket in the Woods is a participant of Crab 5 as the headliner of Cat Summer. She is a tabaxi rogue college student in the Adventuring Major at Volksbach Academy. She is a spoiled bully party girl with a knack for taking down people she dislikes.
Appearance
Locket is a cheetah-like Tabaxi with blonde fur covered in black spots and rosettes. She has a long tail with a black tip, large feet, and short shaggy unkempt black-tipped hair. Her chin, neck, chest, and stomach have white fur and her face has whisker and lipstick-like fur markings.
She’s 5’6” tall, but weighs in just over 100 pounds. She has thin arms, legs, and waist with large hips and breasts.
Locket has a variety of outfits that all consist of a baby tank-tee, baggy, low-riding print pajama pants, and a beanie. Regardless of outfit, she wears pink 6 inch long squared-off press-on nails.
Her default outfit is a gray t-shirt depicting a tuna can with the words “Hawk Tuna - Eat up that can,” an orange beanie, and light blue pajama pants adorned with pictures of cookies and popular Yarth children’s character Cookie Orc.
In Round 1, Locket wore a pink version of her outfit with a shirt that reads “Sex Kitten” and pajamas featuring popular Tabaxi cartoon character Kitty Miau Miau.
In Round 2, Locket takes the Ohana potion, which transforms her into a human. As a human, Locket has tan skin, dark brown hair with light brown highlights, black eyeshadow, and a myriad of tattoos all over her body. She wears a black Sisyphus beanie, a cheetah print bikini, and a thin white oversized t-shirt that says “Life’s a Beach and then you Death Save.”
In Round 3, Locket wears a red medieval wedding dress with mint green trim and beads, blue sleeves, gold cuffs, an embroidery pattern based on her nails on the breast, and a gold and red striped hat. After being pushed through a window, the dress is shredded into a skimpy crop top and loincloth.
In the prologue, Locket wears Leo’s jacket, as well as an outfit based on D.O.O.M.V.A. from Crab 4. In her pit entry, Locket wears a cropped pink fur-lined jacket, pink pants, and a pink Santa hat. In the epilogue, she wears a sparkly pink mini dress with no hat.
Personality
Locket is blunt and highly insensitive; a bully that will point and laugh at you. Shallow and materialistic, she will try
to buy your cooperation and cares about making a big show of herself. She is manipulative, and cruel and will go to
great lengths to get revenge. She is trashy, has poor taste, and is kind of gross.
She’s very flirty and promiscuous. Locket is a love ‘em and leave ‘em type and her relationships often overlap. She’s a big fan of smut and buys a lot of TabaXXi magazines.
Powers and Abilities
Locket is a rogue with excellent stealth, sleight of hand, and deception skills. She’s a pro shoplifter and pick-pocket and can famously steal wallets while making eye-contact with the target.
As a Tabaxi, she has razor sharp cat claws, and can use her press-on nails similarly. She also possesses cat-like reflex and agility… if she feels like moving that day.
She’s a master gossiper. She can gather intel and dirt on a person with scarily fine detail and spread it like wildfire. If she can’t find anything, she’s charming enough to make something up and have it stick.
She has a high limit credit card, a lot of charisma, and is a top 1% beer pong player.
Background
Early Life
Locket is from Tabaxistan City in the small arid nation of Tabaxistan. Tabaxistan is a lavish, new money, primarily tabaxi ethnostate with an economy based on valuable ground minerals, fishing, and tourism.
Her father, Trusting Pride, is the ambassador for Tabaxistan. She does not know her mother and her father has remarried four more times since she was born. He is currently divorced. As placation for one-on-one fatherly affection, Locket grew up extremely wealthy and spoiled rotten. She’ll max out credit cards on flashy items, but steal from stores and other tabaxi because she can with no consequence. She’ll either not get caught, talk her way out, or get bailed out by her father.
In school, she would organize networks of nerds to do her homework for her, would be an unflappable nightmare to all of her teachers and instructors, and was very adept at bullying girls she did not like into moving to a new school or taking their own lives. Locket just barely graduated high school on a bribe of new lacrosse equipment donated by her father.
Out of school, Locket travels often, primarily to tropical and scenic destinations. She travels to Cunco every year for the Cuncochella Music Festival.
College Career
Locket was forced to attend Volksbach Magic Academy, a chilly mountain college in Volksbach, Rainer. Her father is an alumni of the college and a member of their board of trustees. Locket despised the prospect of six more years of schooling, but liked the idea of going to college parties and having her own dorm room, so she begrudgingly played ball.
She joined the Adventuring Major, assuming adventurers just travel from place to place and hang out in taverns. She was paired up with several dormmates to form an adventuring party; A-type dragonborn noble Asha Reota, religious homeschooled tiefling Iris McGillicudy, gnomish woods-dweller Wren Roywyn Nimblefoot, and pious dragonborn acolyte Kriv Stormscale. Asha and Locket are mortal enemies at each other’s throats, Iris and Wren are on-and-off friends with Locket, and Kriv is mostly neutral, if not slightly annoyed by Locket’s antics.
Locket’s party completed one year of college before Locket joined CRAB. In that year, they uncovered some information on the Waking Hell, a cataclysm that occurred 600 years prior that caused Hell to spill into the realm and made The New Lands (where prior CRAB contestant Gretchen Evanborn lived) inhospitable and quarantined from the rest of Yarth.
Joining Crab
While too awake to sleep through Planescapes 299, Locket learned of the Null Stars Party from CRAB 4 and how it exists on its own plane that is possible to reach, but the knowledge of how to do so was lost in the Waking Hell. Eager to go to a new party, she tries to ocnvince her teammates to give up studying to assist her. One throw through a door later, Locket seeks help from her drug dealer and friend Ssstefani Nathair to get there. Locket’s idea is overdose on Astranamene, a drug that can project your consciousness to another plane, which proves to be successful, as she guides herself to the Null Stars Party plane.
At the party, Locket tricks the doorman, Tripod, by claiming to be deceased CRAB Leo Buckingham. She continues this ruse to infiltrate the Court of Chaos, Leo’s former team. She parties it up with them, but eventually has a run afoul of Gretchen Evanborn after throwing a wine glass at her mentor, Father James Evanchurch. They get into a confrontation, which results in Locket throwing wine on Gretchen. However, post Crab 4 GM Debbie catches the fight and crunches Locket into a ball as punishment. Knowing she shouldn’t be here, but recognizing Locket’s ambition, Debbie gives her a deal; she can get access to the party next year if she joins the CRAB tournament next year. Locket accepts and is transported back to her world with an invitation to CRAB.
History
Pit Entry
Locket (WON) versus Houndclops (LOSS)
Locket acquired a chance to enter Crab 5 by facing the Houndclops in the woods just outside of Volksbach Magic Academy. She brought along her party members in the adventuring major, Asha, Kriv, Iris, and Wren, to shadow her battle for extra credit. When faced with the Houndclops, Locket fearfully scurries up a tree and implores her friends to defeat it to take the CRAB opportunity for themselves. After nearly defeating the Houndclops, the party bickers over who gets the last blow and the invite. Locket steps in while they argue and finishes off the Houndclops, tricking her team and winning the invite. Upon being summoned, the party is resigned in that Locket will be away for a while.
Round 1: Hell
Locket (WIN) versus Mystic Hand Natum (LOSS)
In Locket’s entry, the duo must drag race down the highway to hell. Natum acquires a custom built hot rod from a shop, while Locket drives a small cat-like toy car built for children. The two race, but Locket’s repeated treachery causes Natum to crash off the road. Locket eventually picks Natum up and drives him to the line solely to embarrass him in front of the crowd for losing.
Natum and Locket must work together in a Mad Max survival against demons. Locket betrays Natum, but eventually relents and apologizes after Natum saves Locket’s life. Natum is revealed to have a corrupted infection in his mystic arm.
Round 2: Hawaii
Locket (WIN) versus Stub (LOSS)
In Locket’s entry, Locket is tasked to face off against Stub in a surfing contest on the Banzai Pipeline. Stub, now an adult from the age shifter potion, is emotionally manipulated by Locket, who is now human due to the Ohana potion, into jumping off his board to save her after she purposefully takes a dive. Locket wins, but reveals her plan in a post-match interview in earshot of Stub. Stub, angry at the betrayal of his trust, uses his powers to bore a hole through her head.
In Stub’s entry, Locket and Stub compete in a surfing battle, where Locket shows unnaturally superb surfing prowess. It is revealed that she stole a surfing amulet from a shark monster, who comes back and attacks the duo. Stub rescues Locket, but is then pulled under. Locket then returns the favor and saves Stub, pulling him back on the board.
Round 3: The Bucket
Locket (WIN) versus Rachel Envy (LOSS)
In Locket’s entry, Locket and Rachel are set to settle a season-long rivalry in the Bucket. Rachel arrives, only to find no one but the Puppetmaster and G.Marion-ette present. Angry at being disrespected by Locket’s cowardice, Rachel storms out of the Bucket to find her. She returns to the case to search for Locket in her room, but finds that she’s actually back in a spectator booth in the Bucket. Finding the room, Rachel discoverst hat Locket is being married to Edric there. After an exchange of barbs, Rachel tackles Locket onto the arena floor and fights her.
In the battle, Locket instructs Steel to open fire on Rachel, who responds by blowing up the wedding box with her rocket launcher. Locket horribly disfigures Rachel with her claws and stabs her with Rachel’s own knife, while Rachel breaks Locket’s arm and ribs, knocking her case of weapons into the water in the process. Undeterred, Rachel takes the upper hand by whipping Locket with a belt, breaking Locket’s neck by sitting on her, and pushing her paralyzed body into the water to drown. Rachel celebrates, only to find she has been disqualified after leaving the Bucket earlier to search for Locket. Rachel rips up G. Marion-ette in anger and is then eviscerated by the Puppetmaster in response. Later, while sleeping with Edric, Locket reveals the whole thing was a part of an elaborate gambit she had charted out earlier.
In Rachel’s entry, Locket and Cat Summer restrain and threaten Rachel into taking a dive. This is nearly successful, as Rachel quits, but is encouraged by her friends and teammates to teach Locket a lesson. Locket nearly wins unopposed, but Rachel shows up to fight. In an epic battle that spans all arrangements oft he battlefield, Rachel ends up with the upper hand by transforming into a t-rex and dangling Locket over the edge by her tail. After a half-hearted attempt to garner sympathy, Rachel drops Locket, then after changing back, crushes Locket to death with her ass following a botched reversal by Locket.
